Check the plastic clip in the mounting bracket

The clip holding the plug (circled in photo) can come dislodged, causing the headlight to not plug in properly.

In a pinch if you can't get the clip mounted properly, you can pull back the plastic fender liner and hold the clip plug as you push the headlight in.
