Having oil is way more essential to the health of a motor than gasoline. (Yeah, maybe fuel pumps don't like to run dry, but that's nothing compared to what insufficient oil can do. ) I'm still counting on the 9A1 to be "bulletproof," especially considering I don't stress it. I've redlined it a few times recently, including a couple vroom-vrooms sitting in the driveway after having driven more than enough to fully heat the motor. Gee, could just that make the motor pass oil? Again not a hint of blue smoke, and I'd think there would've been a lot going by how much oil seems to have been lost.
