Was right near there-- well, within a couple miles at most:
San Albino Basilica, the old town part of Mesilla/Las Cruces in September 2012.
Billy the Kid stood trial for murder in the courthouse, now a gift shop, elsewhere on the church plaza.
Found a nice red at the Heart Of The Desert shop (wines & pistachios) shop right taround the corner.
There, too.
's a Saturday street fair thing in the center of Las Cruces. Had a jalapeno/pineapple Belgian waffle made by a guy who came from Namur, a place my dad was near during The Bulge.
