981 Boxster soft top stestops part way through opening cycle
As the subject states the soft top on my 2014 Boxster S stops part way (about 3/4 travel) through the opening cycle. When it stops the message "Fault of soft top control system" is displayed in the Multi Function display. The opening cycle can be completed by releasing the console button and re-engaging it. This happens once during the day and subsequently the top will function normally for the rest of the day. Next day same fault. I had this issue looked at by the dealer and they replaced the "Microswitch/Latch Console", Part #9P1-871-565. It worked correctly once post service but is now doing the same thing. I will be taking it back to the dealer but I would appreciate any ideas, thoughts or suggestions about what they should be looking at this time. I know the shop foreman and respect and he is open to dialog when I have issues or questions. Thanks in advance.
