Has anyone used Specialized ECU Repair in Ft. Lauderdale?
I've had intermittent trouble with my car for the past year+. CEL on persistently, occasional misfires (pretty bad, all cylinders.) Codes relating to air/fuel mixture, including O2 shorts. (all sensors.) O2 sensors test fine. The car went to my mechanic and to the dealer, both of whom performed the troubleshooting steps and came to the conclusion that it *might* be the DME. Naturally, given the price of replacement, I'm hesitant to buy a new one for the *chance* of a resolution.

I've found a company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL who specializes in repairing and rebuilding DMEs called Specialized ECU Repair. http://www.ecudoctors.com Has anyone used them before? Their prices are a lot cheaper than the dealer (naturally.)

Prices:
Test: $50
Repair: $675
Rebuilt unit: $1375 (If the problem is with the memory, and is not repairable)

Units have 5 year warranty.
I've found a company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL who specializes in repairing and rebuilding DMEs called Specialized ECU Repair.

Just looking for some insight before I send my DME to them.

Thanks!
Jay
