inject extra fuel.

The fuel pump has been mentioned and that's a good idea.

But I believe a bad fuel pump would have just died so I suspect a bad coolant sensor or air intake temp sensor that is signaling too high a temp over actual and the engine controller thinking the engine is warmer than it actually is is not adding enough fuel to keep the cold engine running.

Does the engien start and run ok when warmed up?
