The founder of the company, Rob Dickinson, is the former singer/songwriter for the '90's alternative rock band [i]Catherine Wheel.[/i] and is an Absolutely Certified 911 Nut. Thus the name "Singer".

He had a solo album about 4 years ago called Fresh Water for Horses. At the end of one of the tracks you hear an air-cooled 911 going through the gears, then coming to a stop and shutting off.

I chuckled when I first heard it; it is a very nice touch to the song!
