Re: F.S. UDP 4" Underdrive Crankshaft Pulley - price reduced

For Sale is a 4" underdrive crankshaft pulley (UDP) for M96 engines. Fits Boxster or Boxster S from 1997-2007. This one was installed for 1 week before being removed. Not removed for any specific reason other than I was more comfortable with my car in stock form. So there are a few scratches on it from install/removal. This is the same pulley formerly sold by Chris Amond, and now sold by Jake. Comes with the pulley, shorter belt (also only used for 1 week), and a new crank bolt. $200 shipped in the US (over $100 savings over buying a new one).

Is this the one you need to file down a bit of the block casting to get it to fit? How hard was the install?

... underdrive pulleys you need to grind down the engine marker.
To install you need to first remove the poly-ribbed belt, then loosen the main nut (generally the pulleys come with a pulley tool to hold them in place as the nut is loosened).
Once the pulley is out, you'll need to grind down the marker (best if you use an electric grinder).
Finally, reinstall the new underdrive pulley and belt.
Depending on the size of the underdrive pulley, you my need a new (shorter) poly-ribbed belt.
Should take about one hour's labor.
