After reading very good instructions on Mike Focke's site, I had the courage to DIY. The plastic finally gave on MY02. I choose to install a GAHN with glass. All went well during the 10 hours while I carefully and slowly followed each step. However I have one last thing to figure out.
This new top has an elastic strap with just a single eyelet located where the original had a velcro strap which wrapped around the round frame bar just behind/inside of the "B" pillar, one on each side. Does anyone know how and where I should attach the end of this elastic strap? It needs to be anchored to help the top fit correctly and fold properly when putting the top up and down. It is sewn into the top and points down at an angle of about 8 o'clock on the driver side and 4 o'clock on the passenger side.
