Seems like a clever idea. The system is so complex anyway, so one more turbo isn't going to be an issue. It's better than going with four turbos, and the extra length of the common turbo's plumbing shouldn't be a problem because it's part of a staged system. I imagine they'll use variable vane (angle?) technology.
