I can't A-B it, but my 66 912 didn't have power steering, and it wasn't hard at all to turn the wheel even when stationary. Anyway, I'm not going to worry too much about the electric assist, which apparently has some actual performance advantages.

Mort Sahl did a routine once where he mentioned an American car running at LeMans and only dropping out when the radio and AC gave out. (Or something along those lines.)
