Spark plug questionconfused smiley

I’m planning to change my spark plugs on my 2007 2.7l Boxster.
While searching for the right plugs at several internet sites I came across two different Bosch type plugs for my car. One was the FGR6KQE and the other was FGR5KQE0.

Curiously, depending on the site some offered the FGR6KQE while others offered the FGR5KQE0.

Any advice as to which one is the most appropriate.

The 6K is too cold.

What is the result of a plug that's too cold?

Does it effect:
performance?
mileage?
life of plug?

Just curious.

Also, do you recommend the same plug for the 2006 2.7?
The temperature of the center electrode on low heat range plugs (cold spark plug - high temp number) rises easily and at slow engine speeds.
These easily reach their self-cleaning temperatures which eliminates carbon deposits on the electrode.
On the high heat range plugs their electrode's temperature does not rise easily (because of larger insulators) so they are unlikely to reach pre-ignition temps even at high RPMs.
This type of sparkplug is generally what we find in our cars.
You have to take into account many factors, such as type of engine, compression, fuel, etc. when determining the right sparkplug to use. Generally, the factory knows best, so stick with the recommended plugs.

Since the engines didn't change much from 06 to 07, the FGR 5KQE0 would also be the correct one for an 06? Just wonder since I'm getting into the spark plug change time with mine.
