I though all Porsches had the ignition key on the left of the steering wheel. But this past w/e I was in a 944 and it was on the right. confused smiley

Anyone know why and if any other models (924 perhaps) break the "rule"?

of course is on the right hand side of the car, while the shifter is to the left of the driver, and the ignition key is to the right of wheel.

Sincerely,

The 924 started as a joint VW - Porsche project with the car maybe being sold by Audi. That fell threw. During that part of the devolopment, the ignition switch may have been put on the right and side since it wasn't originally developed as a Porsche. I'm not sure if it was changed later.
