Article on pushing manual trannys at young drivers

I think the rational is that (1) since they cost less to make, the buyer pays less overall for the car and (2) they require more attention to what's going ( lots more difficult to text while driving a manual?)

I didn't see anything on resale value when a manual transmission car is purchased, but given the trends and what car it's on, it could be a hard sell.

I figure with my manual 2006 S, that any punk would look at it, decide I can't steal the car, would smash the window, grab the PCM2 stereo, get it home, and forget the 5000 page manual for it. The joke would be on him trying to figure out how to use the thing.
