If I only change the rear sway bar, must I get it aligned?
DFW02S - Friday, 8 February, 2013, at 6:16:22 pm
I'm going to do the springs and struts maybe next weekend, but all I have time for tomorrow is the sway.

Can I get away without an alignment if I mark the bushing locations really well? Then maybe 400 miles before the big fix and alignment.

Thanks,
Mike

When I would get a control arm swapped out, the cry was ALIGN! Well....... when I did, the darn thing was spot on. My 2000 S virtually never went out of alignment. It just didn't.

It shgould have no impact on alignment

It only connects the two lower control arms and links them in the vertical arc.

Alignment should be unaffected. Completely.

... do not alter alignment.
You can change them without any issues.
The bushings only fit in one place.
Happy Boxstering,
