I think what Pedro is telling us is we must not post photos here unless we are the person who actually took the original photo, or have the express permission to use it, from the owner of the photo.

After reading Pedro's warning post yesterday, and his FINAL warning today, I did a bit of research (online, of course).

It would appear that, with some exceptions, a photo, even if the owner posted it on the 'net, is protected by copyright, and even if the words (or symbol for) copyright are not found anywhere on the photo.

I've had a few surprises in my life, some good, some not so good. I'm inclined not to do anything here that might result in the 'surprise of my life', as it probably would fall in the latter category.

Cheers.

One of my online photos was ripped off by a German company for an item of clothing. My lawyer is pursuing a 5,000 euro settlement.
Folks, consider this car analogy:

Someone steals your car, scratches out the VIN and subsitutes a fake one; puts on different plates and a fake registration sticker. Is the car no longer yours?
