Soft top - green algae
marty - Tuesday, 9 July, 2013, at 6:32:27 am
I have used Autoglym two part soft top cleaner and water proofer for years. Even with a good scrubbing and rubbing there are always small patches of green algae remaining.

Can anyone recommend a method to shift it? Has anyone dared to use a pressure washer on the soft top? I worry that it might de-laminate the outer from the inner layer.
I suggest that no matter what, you stop abrading the canvas. That's wear and tear, accelerating algae growth by giving it more (and porous) surfaces to thrive on.

... UV light does the trick.
Put it out in the sun when it's really shining.
Give it four or five hours, then rinse with water and a soft brush.
Let it dry completely in the sun.

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar
