she's camped at the pier in San Diego waiting for her ship to come in.

I've been watching. It disappeared for a few days, then showed up off Cabo. It got as far north at Ensenada yesterday. And this morning it's now going South!!!!

I was originally informed, the vessel would be in San Diego on Aug 18, when it went through the Panama Canal the ETA changed to 8/11 at 1300 (today). I have been so, t excited thinking I would get my car next weekend (hopefully) or 2 weeks. Then when it reappeared in the radar on Friday, the ETA was changed on Tues, Aug 12 at 1700. Now I gotta wait another 2 days .... but, it does mean it's 3 days earlier than scheduled ...... Don't they know they are carrying very important special cargo that is just waiting to be pampered and cared for?????? ..... I'm guessing the SanDiego Harbor is backed up and it can't in earlier, but that's not a good enough reason

As far as where I have been.... I have had to work a lot. I decided I want to get a few more extras for my special car when it gets here. Today finished up my PADI SCUBA certification. I should say it's, just in time that now I have another option when the ship arrives.

Maybe the captain forgot to pay the toll at the Miraflores Locks and has to go back to pay? Probably got a nervous feeling like he was being watch.

Well, he should realize I'm looking out for his best interest. Just. ensuring that everything is going well and he makes the journey safely.

I just checked again, 3 hours ago it's still going the wrong way ....... I actually thought when it got to San Diego, it would just anchor somewhere off shore. That way when the harbor realized the importance to expedite the vessel, it'll be close by and be able to enter quickly. Don't these people think ????

ETA still says it will be in San Diego tomorrow at 1700. It's 220 miles away from San Diego. 35 miles away from when it turned around. 3 min ago it was going 1.5 knots and has now increased to 1.9 knots. Not sure what all that means, just kinda interesting to know the things I can find out.

The only problem is that once it gets to San Diego, I have no idea where it is, unless I go to San Diego and escort it here.

I noticed the last day or so it's only been doing 1 - 2 knots. I think it was probably just drifting with the current which heads south along the CA and Mexico coast. It probably has a scheduled docking time of 9:30 AM TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA is 9:30 AM TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'd better get down there right away so you don't miss the boat!.

Once it gets to San Diego, it's only a 1 hour drive to my house ...... but I still have to wait another 1 -2 weeks.

Map shows it's docked at the end of Terminal Ave, ust west of Pepper Park. Looks like a pretty major vehicle shipping/receiving area. Your car should be on US soil by now.

The vessel has left the harbor.... YEAH!!!!

My poor sales manager, I've already emailed him He may go and get the car just so he doesn't have to hear from me

I also called the parts department today to ask about the clear side markers. They have them in stock. As I was asking him my questions, he then asked if the car was going to their dealership. When I answered "yes", he informed me that during the PDI they swap out the side markers and put the clear on all the Porsches

It's been a great day !!!!

That GREAT news. You'll have it soon now. Good to hear about the clear side markers. I think your car is Sapphire Blue Metallic, isn't it? The clears definitely will look much better with that colour.

Better keep us in the loop, because once you get the car, you'll be out driving it all the time. Pictures!! You'll have to take lots of pictures and post them. Sheesh. Now you've got me getting all excited.

Just spoke with the sales manager. My car was turned over to the transport company yesterday (Friday). He said if it was going to be here today would have been here by 4:00, it was 4:30 at the time. He said it will arrive on Monday ..... Meaning I get my car on Tuesday!!!!!! YEAH 3 more days

I'm smiling, but it's not a permagrin yet (almost)

my car didn't arrive today.

they said it hasn't left the dock. is scheduled to leave tomorrow andi can pick it up on Wednesday...... now i need the beer

we'll see what they say tomorrow.

I have an appointment on Thursday for the clear bra so it's actually better that I don't pick it up until Wednesday. it would have been difficult to leave out at home.

ok... i deal with one more night of little sleep. i think I'll sleep good tonight because I'm really tired.

I'm surprised the dealer didn't have your car locked if it was in the showroom. Both dealers I've dealt with here, once a car was sold, they would lock it up, put a sold sign on the windshield and sometime that day would move it into a storage area where the general public didn't have access.

Actually, I found it amusing. It's not exactly like the unwashed masses were invitees to a Porsche cocktail party.

Still not here

I don't get it .... 2 people got their Boxsters today in Pasadena. They were on the same vessel as me. My car was loaded on the truck this AM. Either it got lost OR they brought the car directly to my house since they had to pass it to get to the dealer. I prefer the 2nd option.

Now I won't be able to pick up my car until Friday. I have to work until 10 PM on Thursday night. Maybe nobody will get sick and I won't have any patients to see, then I could go.

Still have no idea. Others in SoCal from 2 different dealers all got their cars yesterday.

GM has called the port and they are not returning his call. Now I'm really beginning to think they lost it!!!

As long as your GM is involved you're doing all that you can; if it doesn't show in a couple of days, however it may be time for PCNA to get involved.
Somebody, somewhere knows where the car is..or where it was last..
