Interior overhead LED bulb replacement
Joseph in NJ - Tuesday, 15 October, 2013, at 1:19:47 pm
Hello all.
I have been searching for DIY info to replace the LED light adjacent to the interior overhead bulb. I had noticed the interior was not as bright as it once was and looked at the drivers side diode to discover it works no more. I have searched the web and have not found any info on even replacement bulbs/diodes in this Porsche application. I have always heard that LED diodes last a long time, I guess 13 years is a long time. has anyone replaced there diodes yet and is it a DIY project?
Doubt it has burned out

LEDs are quite reliable and the 13 year quote is 13 years of continuous operation. And since they don't have a filament, they aren't damaged by lots of on and off cycles like incandescent bulbs.

Check the voltage to the light or the fuse.

Thanks for the info Boxsterra, I was surprised that it was out after only 13 years. I may have to buy the whole assembly which may only be $ 50.00 or so i hope.
