2022: Android Auto : Double DIN installation in a 986

Anyone install a Double DIN radio in their 986 era car?

I am thinking about adding one next year to my '01S. I just discovered Android Auto. Way better than finding a spot to magnetically mount my cell phone.

I have installed an ATOTO unit in a my former 06 Jetta TDI, and just recently put one in my '06 Civic winter beater.

These are Android based Head Units, I believe I would need some sort of Double DIN cage, and have it click it somehow, but it's been at least 8 yrs since I've been the dash of my 01, when I upgraded to Bluetooth.

In Charlottesville VA and online sells kits and instructions and mounting hardware. See their web site. I've seen them do 986 and 987 installs.
