as a computer nerd, the number of range 1 ignitions looks suspicious!

too late for techron?

159k on the original dual row IMS bearing. leave it alone while i’m having the RMS and clutch done?

Those range 1 ignitions means that you're not driving hard enough!
When the car hits the rev limiter, a few ignitions are registered as range 1, which is right at the limiter.
You should see the millions of range 1 in my car!
The SAI is just an air pump which assists the cats for a few seconds during cold starts. Only required by the Republic of California.
No amount of Techron will save you from that. I generally remove the SAI and reprogram the car as an RoW which has no SAI.
If you are replacing the clutch, you should install the Oil Feed System with a new bearing. It will basically cost you the parts, since most of the labor is removing the transmission, clutch and flywheel.
Investing in the proper IMS fix is an investment (in yourself, because you won't have to ever worry about it again, and if you ever intend to sell the car, you can Geta premium over one that has not addressed the issue.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna

I replaced my original dual row IMS bearing at 160k miles. It had a little bit of play in it. The replacement part is cheap and installation is not difficult. While in there you might as well since it is a normal wear item.
thank you both.

the range 1 ignitions…it MUST be counter/tool limited. i hit the rev limiter many times, every drive. smiling smiley
