for amusement only…i’m not looking for the solution smiling smiley

foam. foam. foam. the car has been blowing foam for 15-20 years. my plan always has been to ignore it. surely it’ll “run out” soon. who else drives around with long tweezers or other tools to pull out the flakes of foam?

this is half of what i pulled out today, after i dumped a similar load in the coffee shop parking lot.

(welcome back PedrosBoard, we missed you)
and finally relented and fixed it last year

It really is astonishing
What solution did you use. Dash removal or from the top or bottom (cutting and grinding) ?
There is no need to remove the whole dashboard, just the center console. That exposes the center vent, which I cut to slits in to be able to pull it out of the way to give access to all 3 vent flaps. I cleaned the flaps and applied metal duct tape to them and also to the cut vent to seal it back up.

Here's a picture I took during the process. The yellow tape was just to ensure clean cuts. You can see remnants of the old foam on the right and the aluminum tape I used on the left.
