Hi All,

I have a 2008 Boxster RS60. So it's 18 years old.

Recently it's started blowing little particles of a gray foam out of the ac vents and the defroster vents on the dashboard.

A mechanic told me it might be the foam that is on the flaps in the ac system and that the foam is just decaying from old age.

He said the only way to replace it is to take out the entire dashboard.

Does that sound do-able? Is that the right answer?

All thoughts greatly appreciated.

It does not require you to remove the whole dashboard. However, in order to fix it without removing the dash you have to cut something. Altogether it's not that involved a job but it will take 1-2 hours.

I enumerated the solutions here: [pedrosboard.com]

Racecar spelled backwards is Racecar

"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting" ... Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in "LeMans"

"If you wait, all that happens is that you get older"... Mario Andretti

"Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" ... Ayrton Senna

This was really helpful.

Thank you all for the advice.
