My wife and I just saw this on CNN. We both looked at each other and said “ That’s Pedro!” Came here to confirm!by Crooster - Main Forum
Put a set of these on my 2001 on 17 inch last year and have been very pleased wth them especially considering the price.by Crooster - Main Forum
I agree with Guenter. It's just not worth it to take the car out in the winter on a nice day due to the reasons listed.I have already put 300km on mine the past two weekends! it's great to be back!by Crooster - Main Forum
Great day! Who is the guy with the 986 wrecking the group shot by pointing the wrong way!by Crooster - Main Forum
His death was caused by excessive speed in an inappropriate venue. In other words, lack of judgement. Old tires just reinforce the lack of judgement.by Crooster - Main Forum
Welcome from another Kitchener / Waterloo / Cambridge board member. Hopefully we will meet up on a fun run, if not perhaps at BRBS 2017. We attended in 2014 and 2015 but sadly had to skip this year. Still heartbroken over that! I recognize Riverside Park in your photos!by Crooster - Main Forum
Sounds great! Really bummed we have to miss this year! Looking forward to the photos...by Crooster - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
It was warm enough today for some top down driving here in Southern Onterrible! Felt great to be back behind the wheel of a Boxster! Did you make it out G-Man?by Crooster - Main Forum
With the location of the turbo, the driver won't need heated seats!by Crooster - Main Forum
I find it surprising that the 718 base will have less HP than the outgoing model given the HP numbers they are quoting for the 718 S and GTS models.by Crooster - Main Forum
Just seems like yesterday! Sad that the season is winding down...by Crooster - Main Forum
When I cleaned mine out this spring the amount of crud was substantial, but I don't have any idea how long it was (if ever) since the last cleanout. I wish I took a photo of the crud and weighed it!by Crooster - Main Forum
I also installed mesh on my 986 (after I pulled the bumper and gave the rads and condenser a thorough cleaning) this spring. I haven't noticed any increase in temperature since doing so. Now that the leaves are falling the mesh has stopped a lot of debris getting in. I still plan to pull the bumper ever couple of years and do a full clean out.by Crooster - Main Forum
That was a friend of mine. I tend to trust his opinion since he is around Porsches a lot, including entering a 911 in vintage (and winning) at Pikes Peak this year. YouTubeby Crooster - Main Forum
For what it's worth, a friend of mine was at the Hockenheimring a few days ago where some 991.2's were present, and he described the sound as "glorious". Always hard to tell until you hear it in person.by Crooster - Main Forum
Just saw this. I also look forward to your articles and am happy to hear that sanity has prevailed!by Crooster - Main Forum
I have a similar pedal setup on my track 951, but in have never felt the need for it with my 986.by Crooster - Main Forum
I bought a Fluke Model 77 digital multimeter when I was an engineering student. That was (gulp) over 30 years ago and it still works great. I just replace the 9v Duracell about once a decade!by Crooster - Main Forum
Jeez, that seems like a crazy amount of money. Do you know the parts / labor breakdown?by Crooster - Main Forum
Richard had an idler pulley fail on the way to BRBS this year, so that is another thing to check, but I'm sure Mike was on this already.by Crooster - Main Forum
Water pumps seem to be a known weak link on these cars.by Crooster - Main Forum
Soon we will need the Blue Ridge Macan Summit!by Crooster - Main Forum
No glovebox in a 2001, unfortunately. The centre console could be it as I did open it recently. I guess I will just see if it reoccurs without the interior sensor armed. Thanks!by Crooster - Main Forum
A couple of times now the alarm in my 986 has tripped when the car is sitting in the garage. A recent scan showed these codes: 33 Passenger compartment monitoring sensor faulty 60 central locking limit position lock not reached The first is obvious, the interior infrared motion sensor in the dome light area. Anyone know what the second refers to? For now I am locking the car with a double prby Crooster - Main Forum
