Had a few pro shot taken of the car when we were driving on NC80 aka The Devils Whip! www.blindkenny.com -such a great name for a photographer!-sets up on this and some surrounding roads and takes shots of the cars/bikes/etc that drive it. I love these shots! You can see the Mrs's inside pointing/smiling/etc going: Look! There's Blind Kenny! HAHA Getting these printed out and framedby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

Was headed home yesterday...and what do I see in the distance? I couldn't tell! LOL, it looked like something exotic, possibly a Porsche... Dropped the hammer for a second and caught up to: A Boxster towing a trailer! Low and behold who do I see driving? Non other than the infamous Pedro himself! Rolled down the window and shouted some greetings to him and then passed by...he tucked rightby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
5/30/15 update: Started out with breakfast out on the terrace...overlooking a Porsche show on the lawn! It was nice! Caravanned into Asheville. We went to the very cool and well known Grove Park Inn, built in 1913, it is spectacular! HUGE fireplaces, great terrace to have lunch on, and a very nice historic place to visit. We had a private tour setup for the antique car museum and craftsmby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
5/29/15 update: Another nice day! Had some heavy rain...but it wasn't too bad. Cleaned the car back up this morning and all is well. We went on a tour of two vineyards yesterday. Had a great time. The women really enjoyed it...us fellas were the designated drivers, so no tastings for us! Finished the day up with a nice dinner with some friends and that was that!by Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

5/27/15 update: Woke up to another beautiful day!!! It rained last night, and we are expecting a bunch more that is supposed to come through, however, it has held off again! Took a nice drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway to a little town called Little Switzerland. Very cool place. It has an Inn, restaurant, shops, etc there. 5/26/2015 update: I've never driven this car so hard before...Florida is too flat! It is such a capable machine. I am only 'nervous' when I think I am going into a turn too hot...for a split second, then the car is like, "yeah, I got this!". So great to be able to do that. So much FUN! Didn't do much today, had plumbing issue and was waiting on the plumber for longer than I anticipated. Iby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
^^^^Safe travels and see you soon! It rained overnight. Woke up to some spotty showers as well. It is partly sunny today...it appears as if it will be another great day! Possibly headed out for another drive later today/this afternoon. (Have a plumbing issue @ the cabin and waiting on the plumber!) Fingers crossed that this weather holds...I'm not betting anything on it though from what theby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Another fantastic day today!!! Weather was awesome, so we got up and got onto the Blue Ridge Parkway and headed up to the top of Mt. Mitchell! Made a few new friends while at the top...a super sweet 1965 911 and a 1957 356 showed up too! Headed up to the summit and looked around, checked out the views and then back to the Parkway to a town called Spruce Pine for some lunch! I can imagine! LOL...maybe we will need at least one night with some 'bad' weather! Perhaps we will be able to discuss the weather over a few Gary!by Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Yeah Gary, it's just the typical spring time weather up here! We are trying to do some outside projects to the cabin and it's putting a damper on that! The weather can be unpredictable up here this time of year. We've been coming up here in the spring to open our place for the past 15+ years and it is ususally cold, a little rainy and yes, foggy! We came home from Spruce Pine yesterday and tby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
LOL! I wish I could be doing that! It's been raining since we arrived! If it dries up some, maybe I'll get some down in the corners! See you soon!by Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Too funny...I post this and not soon after I receive the email that registration is open! Woohoo!by Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
The Mrs and I headed up to the area this past Saturday to open up our cabin. We are about 10 miles from Little Switzerland. We are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Mt. Mitchell Golf Course. Things are nice up here...a little cool and rainy and the trees are just starting to bud and the dogwood's are blooming! Very nice to be able to see a LOT more without any leaves on the trees!by Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
QuoteGuenter in Ontario QuoteSizzle Chest My wife and I are planning on attending...this will be our first run! We are pretty excited! Add another Florida car to the list! Just be careful. My wife and I decided to attend once back in 2007. We haven't missed a BRBS since then. If you haven't been to the Blue Ridge Mountain area, expect fabulous scenery, terrific Porsche roads, lots of good foodby Sizzle Chest - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
