Yeah - I saw that the other day too. It took me 2 days off and on to read through the 28 pages of posts !!! Geez - there's a lot of people willing to drink the Kool-Aid without much knowledge. I admit it sounds intriguing, but I believe I'll wait until the product is unveiled and Pedro has some time to offer a second opinion.by John B in SC - Main Forum
I was looking over the roster just the other day and noticed you weren't signed up. I was hoping it was just an oversight - glad to learn that's all it was and you'll be attending.by John B in SC - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

Yup - running the XP-10 as that is what they recommended to me. I like that they're made local to me. I have done several DE events and have been quite pleased with the performance. I'm a little surprised at how fast the fronts have worn down but I'm pretty hard on them with late braking trying to catch up with some of the faster cars with my little 2.5. They will dust up a bit, but it's eby John B in SC - Main Forum
First off - Welcome to the Carolina's Tom !! You're going to love the area. Mountains an hour away in one direction and the beach just a few more in the opposite direction. The Carolina's Region PCA is very active and I hope you'll join and get to know our members. Now to tires. I'm down in Spartanburg - about an hour south of Charlotte. We're not supposed to get this junk down here in the sunny south! Wound up with about 6"'s and now getting some light freezing rain to top it off. Had to shut the plant down at 1 - couldn't keep the few employees who showed up there any longer. Needless to say, no 2nd or 3rd shift. We'll try for a late start tomorrow at 10 and hope some folks show up. YUCK !!! At least the cars are clean,by John B in SC - Main Forum

I bought my Boxster used with sufficient nicks and dings just so that it wouldn't drive me crazy worrying about every new nick I got. I therefore tend to park it in the first available space. Now the 993 is another story! It usually only gets parked among other Porsches when out with a group On the rare occasion when it's made it to a store parking lot - well then - let's just say I'll gby John B in SC - Main Forum

I had what looks like a similar situation earlier this year. Fabric actually pulled loose. Not too bad a fix if this is the case. Here's a post with pictures from PPBB of the repair.by John B in SC - Main Forum

Thanks Bob I really enjoy the Boxster for top down drives in the summer and for it's neutral handling on the track but for pure looks I can't keep my eyes off the 993 C2S. I've got to keep it covered in the garage or I'ld never go inside - would just stand there staring like some idiot. Here's another view showing off the "hips".by John B in SC - Main Forum

"What has been interesting to me is the number of reported LN failures across the 7 online forums I monitor" Mike - can we get more details please. Are you insinuating none - or are the LN's having issues also?by John B in SC - Main Forum

I was actually starting to be productive at work and now the board is back - taunting and tempting me throughout the day. You can hear it too - can't you... "Just take a quick peek" "Let's see what's new" "Wonder who's on-line now" "What was the final answer to that question about..." Damn you Pedro !!!! I'm back to being another unproductive member of society. In all seriousnesby John B in SC - Main Forum
