Not too different fromt he first car I drove - a 59 or 60 Nash Metropolitan. Probably about 50 hp and 0 to 60 in about ... forever! But it was three on the tree. It was the epitome of a "cute" car!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
I understand where you are coming from, Guenter. OTOH, I have been driving manuals for over 50 years and, although I still enjoy shifting gears myself, I don't miss the manual clutch at all. Unlike previous automatics (which I hate in a sports car), the PDK actually improves the quality of my driving - allowing me to instantly choose a gear with never a worry of a "money shift".. I wonder ifby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Be honest - wouldn't you just love to have a ride home with Walter? Maybe have a beer with him when you get home? I would!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Not quite $90K - and I have driven it 130 in Texas last fall! Kind of hard to get it much above 80 in the NC mountains where I usually drive it.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Since residuals are so obviously important to you, may I suggest you buy a Prius or a Corolla?by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
I'll bet his personal car is a PDK too.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
QuoteRoger987 I think the consensus is sport chrono isn't worth it. I have sport chrono on my 987, and agree. It's largely a gimmick. BUT, I also have PASM, and I like it A LOT. For me, money spent on PASM (as contrasted with sport chrono) is worth it. I don't really agree it is a gimmick. Probably not worth the money on a manual - but does have advantages with PDK. QuoteGary in SoFL I'm told that Porsche increased their MSRPs but about 2.5% today. Must be an effort to remain the most profitable car company on the face of the earth. A hundred grand for a new Boxster is very close..... I have already seen several hundred grand Boxsters. But that is chump change - look at this: Boxster S 981 Exterior R2 - Lime Gold Metallic 4V - Convertible Top Black 427by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
QuoteGary in SoFL Looks like it's only the 991 prices that went up 2.6%....for now. Probably to minimize cannibalization from overpriced 981's How does raising the price of hte higher priced car minimize cannibalization? Seems to me, that would have the opposite effect.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum

14.5 is about normal on my 2013. I would think that would be consistent for a 986 or a 987 since the batteries are pretty much the same.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
OTOH, I have heard that the later IMS engines (2006-2008) have a much lower incidence of IMS problems.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum

I am never an "early adopter" - but will definitely think about this as soon as I hear some real life experience. That's funny coming from one of the first 981 buyers Touche1by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
