I think that at about 8 years, you'll soon have the other sensors going too, so I'd recommend replacing the whole set. A friend bought a set from Titantpms.com for his 2007 Carrera around 2014 and they're still working fine. He found a tire shop that simply let the air out of his tires, broke the bead, reached in and replaced the whole unit. It saved him from having to get the wheels rebalanced.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I believe ø stands for "average" (as opposed to "current") Our A5 can show the current fuel consumption (play with the accelerator and watch it jump up and down) Just checked and my 2014 under "Info" it only shows "Messages" and "Service interval". No "ø Consumption" Are you able to change that setting from "ø Consumption" to just "Consumption"?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Back in 1969, I owned, what was always my favourite car until, I bought my Boxster. It was a 1968 Karmann Ghia cabriolet. I always loved roadsters. One day I had the Karmann Ghia into the local VW/Porsche dealer for an oil change. While waiting, I walked into the showroom. There, sitting on the floor, was a brand new beautiful silver 911 Targa with a whopping (for 1969) $23,500 price tag. I bby Guenter in Ontario - 10 years of PB

Nice shot. It always takes some planning. I agree, the tire pressures seem pretty high, but not sure what the recommendation is for the 997. And of course tire size makes a difference too.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

It’s hard to believe, but PedrosBoard is ready to celebrate 10 years of Porsche camaraderie. And it's all because of Pedro's love for Porsches and the people that drive them. We have a lot of regular posters who enjoy sharing stories, experiences and pictures of their cars. And, of course, lots of people have given and received helped with answers to questions about their Porsches. There are alby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Mother Nature gave southern Ontario a fabulous, warm, sunny weekend with temperatures reaching around 70 F. It was perfect weather to enjoy topless driving and to reaching a milestone A little over seven years of Boxster joy. The CURVEN8R still gives me that tingle up and down my spine when I slide behind the wheel, twist that key with my left hand and hear the Symphony in Flat Six bark to lifby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Quotemikefocke, '01S Sanford, NC Sat in the passenger's seat. Didn't want her to come along. If she had she'd know my fun route and want me home earlier. Typical Boxster driver tactic! Glad it was a simple fix. I remember replacing the battery in my 06 and I didn't have to reprogram the Homelink in that. Was that the still the original battery that you replaced on your 2013? I've been keeping my eye on the Voltage reading on the battery of my 2014, which was built in June 2013.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
How long did you hold the buttons down? According to the manual, with the ignition on, you have to hold the 1 & 111 (two outside buttons) for 20 seconds. Then you get the middle button flashing. This would clear any previously stored garage door codes in both buttons. Then you can program the "new" code. I'm not sure what the problem might be if you can't get the middle button to flash. Since you did get dash lights, did the engine try to turn over at all, or was there no sound at all? If it's just a sudden occurrence, it might be the micro switch at the clutch pedal going. Clutch has to be fully depressed to activate the switch and allow the engine to start. I would think if it's the battery starting to go, you'd get an indication of engine turning over slower than usual to gby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Congratulations, Steve. It's a special feeling to be able to order a car exactly the way you want it. Manual and GT Silver. 2 Porsche options at the top of my list for a new Porsche. .......and the waiting begins.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
My wife and I planned another drive with a few Porsche friends today. Despite the call for some rainy weather, we lucked out and it stayed dry for the whole drive. With temperatures in the 50's and cloudy, we were comfy with heaters and bun warmers. The only really "cool" part was a picnic lunch, allowing for social distancing and a great time to share Porsche stories. First pit stop at a Canadiby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Great colours. Your green car makes for a nice contrast to the leaf colours. Looks like you had a great day for a topless drive.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
That's for sure. Our driving days are numbered. Just try to take advantage of the ones we get. Yesterday, we managed to hit the high 60's. Today, we'll be lucky to make it to 50. For me, as long as it's dry and into the high 30's is good for a drive. Got sweatshirt, bun warmers, heater and Pedro's TechNOwind to keep me warm and comfy on the cooler days.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
It was supposed to be a beautiful sunny day here in parts of Ontario. At least it started out that way. With the leaves starting to change, my wife and I decided to get out for a drive up to the Blue Mountains area. It clouded over shortly after we left home, but still got some nice pictures before the rain set in. Sunshine would have brightened the colours quite a bitby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Quotemikefocke, '01S Sanford, NC Until you go to sell it and find that most buyers now want an Auto because they have never driven a stick. I was stick only through my first 3 sport cars (Alfa, Alfa, 914) but around 1972 as traffic increased my 8 minute commute at 70 MPH morphed to 50 minutes of creeping, same route. I used the fun car for commuting, I found the auto easier on the psyche. I arrby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I believe the parking brake is independent of the regular brakes. The parking brake shoes are inside the rear drum portion of the brake rotor. Maybe the brake shoes need to be adjusted or replaced?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
