I just wanted to pass on my DOF experience. I purchased it through Pedro of course, it came super fast and was packed well. The install was straight forward and had detailed directions. I have a 3.4 engine in my 99 and Pedro pointed me in the right direction as to which bearing to get. I wound up putting in the steel dual row bearing. The only problem I ran into with the install was that I hby Jaay - Main Forum

I have had the center of the clutch disc break free from the disc it self in this very same fashion. Sound just like what happened in this case. Very rare but I am proof that it happens. I say broken clutch.by Jaay - Main Forum

I was in the mist of changing my tranny and was at the same time upgrading some hardware on the engine case when I thought it would be a good idea to loosen the ims bearing nut. I went to re torque it and snapped the F'r in half. Honestly, I just laughed. I have zero luck. Any way to pull the ims bearing with out the bolt?by Jaay - Main Forum

Thanks for the advice. I have a 3.4 engine in my car. The noise is less than acceptable. I am on the hunt for a tranny now. The fluid was changed in it last May. 75/90 for both changes. last years change was with fluid from porsche. This years was royal purple. I don't miss shifts or abuse it anymore than it shouldn't be. I have a 05 cayman 5 speed tranny and once again I have a rattle and noise while rolling in first, second third. This happened on my original 99 5 speed also. It works fine and shifts great. I did just change the fluid to royal purple to try and quiet it down, there was some small metal shavings in the fluid. I am now looking into 6 speed transmissions. Bartons in patchogue did mine once. It was 600.00 but it came out good. I personally would leave it alone and source a glass window top. Mine has cracked now for the second time and I simply don't care. I drive it with the top down or the hard top is on.. The plastic window is junk.by Jaay - Main Forum
