Hey all, I am looking to add an air compressor to my collection of tools, basic tire inflation to occasional air wrenching on lug nuts and other parts. Any recommendations as to size or experience would be appreciated. I don't want to go too big or not have enough capacity. Interested in what you are using at home.by cribfiller - Main Forum

I have a follow up question, I replaced the front rotors on my02 base, and found it to be a very doable job, thanks for the previous write ups and comments. I did have one issue in that one of the break wear sensors broke when removing. I will order a new set this week. The warning light came on when I started up the car due to the damaged sensor, will this light go out when I get the new onesby cribfiller - Main Forum

I am getting ready to replace the front and rear discs on MY02 base Boxster, and am confused by the different brands available. Zimmerman, Balo, Sebro etc. I am not understanding the differences between all these brands. I do not track the car, it is my fun/date car and just want something comparable to what came on it from the factory. Any comments would be greatly appreciated as to the diffeby cribfiller - Main Forum
Thanks Marc, I laughed too. The build up is thick, not soot, and only on top of the exhaust tip. No to overfilling the oil, it generally is right on the mark or just one level below. I did have to add approx a quarter quart last weekend. Will keep checking and tear apart throttle body this weekend to see if it is dirty or has any oil deposits. Yes I have been very fortunate the past 30,000 mby cribfiller - Main Forum
Hi all, I have a 2002 base, manual trasmission with 68,972 miles. I have owned this care for five years and have had very few problems. Just the usual with headlight and ignition switch replacement, I have changed my own oil every three thousand miles. I have noticed a build up on my tailpipe since my last oil change about 1500 miles ago. Recently it has blown smoke on start up a bit more frequby cribfiller - Main Forum

I was out this morning for a road trip, approximately 80 miles out, reving the engine to 6K+ on the back roads of Indiana, blowing the carbon out I guess. Anyway, pulled into a BP station, only one in the small town and filled up with 93 octane. Car started and ran rough for 20 sec and died, did the same thing on the second start, waited approx 30 sec for the third try and it fired right up andby cribfiller - Main Forum

That must be why the gauges are not readable when I am wearing my polarized lens, I have to pull them off to see the numbers. Also, same thing with the IPod, have to remove the glasses to read the screen.by cribfiller - Main Forum
I would like to know what others are using for different driving conditions, I currently use Oakley's, polarized dark lens. What brands, lens colors, work best for others?by cribfiller - Main Forum
I just wanted to say thanks to Pedro for this board and the instructions, information contained herein. I changed the plugs on MY02 base this past weekend and all went very well. I have not changed a plug in over thirty years, these cars are very logical and easy to work on.by cribfiller - Main Forum
