I know, I have read about some on the 986 site but not recently. I see your post at times there. I thought about glue if I find one. I won't to find out why it's chose to fall out. Like you said maybe it's is a cracked fitting.by Lew - Main Forum
Thanks for that info. The other three are fine. I never used the washers, but will look for any damage on the empty socket. The picture I put in my post came from one on Ebay at a cost of $35. They are way over priced and I am not paying. I recently heard a BMW model has the same nozzle. I might be able to find the exact nozzle on ACEPICKAPART.COM. They have many BMW's that have been junked andby Lew - Main Forum
What I would like to know is how could my nozzle disappear. How is this held in place?by Lew - Main Forum
It's my passenger side alarm sensor that might be bad per the code. Alarm arms OK and works as it should by pressing the Key Fob twice. With one press of the Key Fob to set the inside sensors, nothing happens when movement is inside the car. My question is there a way to test the senso if removed?.by Lew - Main Forum
Will see about doing a pic. Question: Not familiar with the "NM" tagged to your message. Thanks!by Lew - Main Forum
These are the Bulbs I installed for my Fog Lights after making the jumper to have DRL's. These should be good for the High Beams. I think they were $32 from Amazon. There is a low beam ds2 bulb by Phillips. but they are expensive. My fogs are a blueish color and the Low Beams are not the same. When on High beam the fogs go off. I would like to have both the fogs and low beams the same color.by Lew - Main Forum
Anyone install LED Bulbs for the low beam lights?by Lew - Main Forum
If you don't mind, what was the cost to your door on the brake lines you purchased. Thanks!by Lew - Main Forum

I think I would be looking at the cam deviation again. The brown particles seems to be a sign of the chain guides cracking and beginning to break up.by Lew - Main Forum

I had developed a lifter tic several years ago. It started one winter and continued into the summer. It was especially bothersome during the colder months. I finally read a post by Jake Raby saying that he had used MMO and saved "many an engine" so don't knock it. Anyway, did my research and discovered MMO a petroleum based naptha distillate that is essentially a solvent. Obviously, I was hesitanby Lew - Main Forum
I lost a wheel cap Emblem, the gold crest type. Anyone have one for sale? In checking the other three, one fell off when inserting the tool to remove the cap. The others were easily removed. Glad I checked the others or more would have been lost. I plan on re-attaching all four with a epoxy adhesive. I heard it's a common thing with the wheel cap Emblems falling off on older Boxsters.by Lew - Main Forum
Thanks for the tip. I looked it up and watch a demo about it. A little pricy but that's OK, I'll give it a try....thanks again! Lewby Lew - Main Forum
My 04 top closes properly, however when closed the front of the top where it touches the windshield frame makes a popping/cracking noise now and then when on a bumpy road. Maybe some type of lubricant on the top edge of the windshield frame would stop the cracking and popping noise. It's apparently is caused by movement and friction rub.by Lew - Main Forum
You are right! I will be a the Dealership this week and have them check out the noise.by Lew - Main Forum
I recently spoke to a Porsche Tech at a Dealership while picking up a part about the rattle I was experiencing. The DMF was mentioned, clutch in switch off, no rattle, clutch out switch off the rattle. No mention of the Transmission. He ruled out the DMF. The tech said it could be a rusty release bearing. Anyone ever have a rusty throw out bearing making a noise?.by Lew - Main Forum
Quotepaulofto There is also Rockauto with a wide selection. OK, thanks I'll check it out.....by Lew - Main Forum
Quotepaulofto Those are the what Porsche calls 'Stabilizer Mountings" according to the PET. Most call them drop links. There are 4, 2 front and 2 back and are the same front or back. The left is P/N 996 343 069 03 and the right 996 343 070 03 for 2000 to 2004 models. If you are replacing them you will need new nuts as well; 999 084 445 09 upper and 999 084 643 09 lower for each one. Torque the toby Lew - Main Forum
Quotepaulofto Would be nice if you could post a picture of what you are talking about but I don't see how you can do it on this forum. By chance does the item show on page 40-4 front suspension of the Bentley manual? Yes, and the link is pictured just above the letter B.by Lew - Main Forum
On my 04S there are two small bushing tie rods attached to the end of the sway bar. Anyone know what these parts are called? I cannot find them described in the Bentley other than seeing a drawing on page 42-4. The rubber is bad/cracked and needs replacing. Thanks!.by Lew - Main Forum
After running a quick scan with my Durametric software I only have the one repeating fault code 34 which I know what that is, a overhead interior sensor. Also looking at the "Ready Status" section, everything is showing pass, but the Fuel Tank ventilation column is showing Fail. Any one ever have see this, and what should one look for?by Lew - Main Forum
