How about a drive up to Bear MTN this Sunday or next.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
You may still have a pinhole opening that only leaks a tiny bit when the car is fully up to temp. Feel around the tank when the car is on to see if you feel any moisture. Be careful not to get burned. What color is your tank, with the turbos they say if the tank is yellow replace it.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I bought a 996 TT and it's a very fast car. My son sits in the back and just yells "weeeeeeeee". I have never redlined this car as it's not necessary. My boxster lived in the redline while this car does not see more than 5000rpm.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Sometimes the gasket will go bad within the bleeder valve, but I don't recommend trying to replace it. I don't think it will ever go on as well and as tight as it originally was. My condensation had gotten a little worse after replacing the two gaskets. Change the cap and if that doesn't work either live with it or replace the entire bottle.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Just make sure whoever does the work does a good job bleeding your coolant once refilled. The boxster cooling system is not the easiest to fill correctly. If your mechanic is looking for a quick job you'll end up driving home with the coolant boiling over due to air bubbles trapped in the system.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
It's too much HP. I recently bought a 996 turbo and sold my boxster and all I'll say is the power is out of this world. I use to think that there was no such thing as too much hp, but this car definitely has too much power at least more than I have been accustomed to. It's a great vehicle though.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
My alpine double din nav has a back-up camera. It's not hard to install, but i haven't done it yet.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Wow that's amazing. I was under the impression that the ceramic bearings didn't need much lubrication. I replace my IMS and mine was nearly perfect after 12 years and 50k miles. The seals were intact, but it was seeping oil from the seal. The only thing you aren't factoring is the install of the LN IMS. It may not have been done right. then again Even after reading much praise about the shop Iby CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I had 50k miles, my bearing had little to no play. I think that any play is bad and an indication that the bearing is beginning to fail. I worry about the indies doing the work as I feel, new problems were created in my thorough servicing.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I installed a pioneer 940 bt and its one of my favorite upgrades. I bought a special mount off eBay that made the install look stock and simple to complete.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Kevin, long time no see! I hope you are doing well. I recommend pilot super sports. These tires have some grip on my 18's, but they aren't n rated.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Where did you buy this exhaust? I can't seem to find it anywhere.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I wonder what the next most common mode of failure is? Chain guides?by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I like my iPad, but prefer android phones over iPhones. Iphones are great out of the box, but I like to customize my phone os and that's not as easy on the iPhone.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Looks great in white, I'm not sure I like it in blue.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
A drive up to bear mt would be nice. I haven't gone on a group run now for for 3+ years. I dream about mt equinox, captree island, and bear mt.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I almost bought a fully loaded 2012 3.2 with sline package, but it was just too tight for my needs and a bit pricey. It fit the kids and all my baby gear, but it was tight. I also drove the 2.0t and it was faster than I thought it would be, but nothing like the glk. I'm just a big 2013 glk fan. I wouldn't buy the previous year versions but the 13 had substantial improvements and i just loved theby CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
So I bought a 2012 Touareg v6Lux. I'm trying to get a white car with brown interior. I decided I needed the space over the speed.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I considered that one but my mom owns one and my wife doesn't want to have the same car as her mother in law.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
The MB is the 2013 model and has 302hp. I think the car mags clocked its 0-60 at 5.9 seconds. It felt faster than my boxster. I don’t necessarily need it to be faster, but if I can get an suv that is faster why not get it. I wouldn’t modify the Q5 while under warranty, plus I want it to be reliable. At the end of the day this car will be used to haul my toddler and infant around, but I want iby CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I'm looking at a set of panamera wheels at a great price, the tires look a little big for this size wheel (at least on the boxster) but the rims look like they would work. Front Size: 245/50 ZR18 18 X 8 59mm offset Rear Size: 275/45 ZR18 18 X 9 53mm offset Bolt Pattern: 5 X 130 what do you guys think?by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Where are you located?by CK in Chatham NJ - Parts for Sale
Any chance you would go less on the wheels? What kind of cold air intake is it? I'm interested in both.by CK in Chatham NJ - Parts for Sale
The reason I'm comparing the 2l q5 is that the cost is the same to the glk when comparably optioned.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I'm going to take a look at the fx35 this weekend and also test drive a touraeg and cayenne. I like the infiniti but havnt ever sat in one. If my children and their stuff fit in the glk it will be so hard to say no to it. It really was a fun car to drive. As much as I like the q5's looks the glk has 300hp paddle shift 7 speed transmission, while the q5 has 211 hp 4cyl turbo with a 6 speed transmiby CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Well at first they appeared too pricy. I could probably stretch for a stripped down base model. I'm going to check them out see if they can reduce the price a little. I wonder if they come with the paddles like the Glk.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
Hey guys it's been a long time since I posted, but I continue to lurk on the site. I still have my lapis blue 2002 2.7l boxster and she's going strong with 47k miles. I plan to do some maintenance on her this year as she is beginning to show her age. I'm writing because I wanted to see what you guys thought of the above two cars? I test drove both today and love the glk 350, it is fast and the tby CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I went out tonight to check the car out. The fluid continued to leak out some more, but not as much as was on the slab. I turned the car on and all seemed fine. I did not run the AC, but did turn the steering wheel and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. I jacked the car a little bit and confirmed that the fluid was coming from the same hole that the drainage tube was hanging out of. I pulby CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
I first thought it was engine oil so I opened up the front trunk and thought where's the motor?by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
The car doesnt get driven in inclement weather as I have summer tires on her. Ill have to jack it up on the passenger side wheel and get under there to see whats going on.by CK in Chatham NJ - Main Forum
