A couple of years ago a valet at the Jasper Park Lodge went for a midnight run in a new Boxster. All was going well until he was returning. The road to the Lodge is very twisty with a posted 30 KPH (18 MPH) speed limit. The estimate is the valet slid sideways into a tree at 100+ KPH. Totaled the car, but he walked away unharmed. That says a lot about the safety of our cars but it doesn't say muchby Alberta Alex - Main Forum
I also have an '01 Seal Grey S. What does your aftermarket spoiler look like? Any pictures?by Alberta Alex - Parts for Sale
I don't mind the mirrors, though I'm interested in their placement on the door rather than the A pillar. This should make the side windows slightly larger. Based on the pictures provided, I can't see a clam shell either. If that is the case I'll be interested to see how the soft top goes down, i.e. does the top just flop down or does the trunk lid raise? Alexby Alberta Alex - Main Forum
I replaced the ignition switch, then after another month, replaced the clutch interlock switch. It was OK for about 6 weeks, then the non-starting reappeared intermittently. The Dealer Tech could never reproduce the non-start so I was REALLY getting fed-up. Finally, while the car was in my garage, the car refused to start after 8-9 tries. I had the car flatbeded to the dealer and they finally repby Alberta Alex - Main Forum

He has a couple off businesses here in Edmonton with offices in Vancouver. He keeps a couple of Porsches at each location. He drives top down year-round. even at the temperatures we are now getting. He's the former president of our local PCA branch (aptly named Polar) and still holds a position on the executive. Since most of us put our cars away in the winter, he calls us wussies. The top is up and the car is now in winter hibernation. Since I have a plastic window ('01) I don't put the top down below +5C. However, if it's colder than that and the top is already down, I'm good to go. I love driving around the city when it's below zero with the top down. Not only is the car comfy with the heater and seat warmers, I enjoy the stares of disbelief I get from the non-enthusiastby Alberta Alex - Main Forum
It's great to be back. I've even got a new handle which better reflects my location. It was -27C with a windchill of -40C/F here this morning. A bit nippy. Alex Eliuk PS. Love the spell check.by Alberta Alex - Main Forum
