Hope my wife doesn't see it. She currently drives a Volvo wagon and loves them. That new Porsche wagon would cost me a lot more $$$ than a Volvo!by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Boxster arreived at Brunswick, GA on Saturday. The fact it is only 5 hours away and I can't get my hands on it it killing me.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Welcome back Matt. I remember you from PPBB and your first Boxster. I too, have been gone a while after purchasing a 911. Have a new Boxster on order and plan on frequenting Pedro's board more often.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Car left Germany yesterday and ETA to Brunswick, GA is 8/11. I am tracking the ship on marinetraffic.com.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Got a chance to test drive a car very similar to the one I have on order...base with 6 speed and 19" wheels. Car felt very solid. The exhaust note was very good...didn't rev it aboue 4,000rpm. The 6sp manuel was really smooth. It is similar to the 7sp in the 991 with one less gear. I have a 6sp in my 997, but this one feels much smoother with shorter throws. Wish I could have spent more tiby Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
QuoteLawdevil It will be long few weeks! Mine was built July 4 and is now on a ship entering Brunswick harbor! Probably another week or so. Its like waiting for water to boil! My dealer is telling me first week of August...I think this is very optimistic. Some cars get on ships quicker than others, so it's sort of a crap shoot when your car arrives. On the plus side, I am only 5 hours from tby Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
My car was fihished 7/19. Now waiting to get on a ship. Selling my 911 this week, so I will have an empty spot in the garage for several weeks.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
QuoteGary in SoFL QuoteRoger987 But, as Frissen pointed out, at $80k +, the 981 will be competing with relatively fresh 997S's... Guenter, don't look ! It's a low mileage 911S Cab in ARCTIC SILVER, with a 6 speed and sports steering wheel. Don't look! ( Couldn't help yourself, could you.) It would just interfere with G-mans 981 order, Roger Seems like you're looking. If so I'd advise a 9by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
For $40,000 less I can live with some gaps!by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
I saw that same article. The way they give points doesn't add up. Some of the more subjective tests award the most points and the ratios don't add up.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Went to Porsche Greenville SC launch party last night. They had a Grey Boxster and a Black S (sold to lucky guy in Charlotte) on display. The cars look better in person than in pictures. The lines of the new Box looked better on the lighter gray car than the black one. Both had PDK. The only thing I didn't like were the side mirrors...not a major problem , but they could have made them a littlby Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum

Used to frequent PPBB 99-2007. Had a 99 and 2003 Boxster. Bought a 07 Carrera in 07 and enjoyed the car for 5 years, but it was never as much fun to drive as the Boxster. After seeing the 2013 Boxster I decided it was time for another Boxster. Should be getting the car mid to late August.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
I will be selling my 2007 Carrera this summer and ordering a new Boxster. Have had two other Boxsters 99, 03 and really enjoyed them more than the Carrera. After seeing the 2013 Boxster I am ready for another Boxster. Besides the motor, brakes, and 19' wheels what else does the "S" have that the base doesn't? Thanks,by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
I was considering ordering PSE on a new 2011 Boxster. I currently have a Carrera with a Fabspeed MaxFlo muffler and 200 cel cats. Love the sound. After reading this post its makes me question wether to get the factory set up or get the Fabspeed for the Boxster? I will most likely leave it on all the time so switching back and forth is not really important.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
