Hi All- Had a great weekend with the car- polished and waxed it, cleaned out the interior, made it all shiny. Looks awesome. 2000 Bxster S, 80K miles. I start the car this morning and am backing the car out, and the check engine light starts flashing. It took me a sec to realize, and I pull it back into the garage. By the time I am back in, the light is no longer flashing. When I get home,by kosiba - Main Forum
Hi All- I've a 2000 S, and the brake warning light has just gone on. A few questions: How long can I drive before doing much damage? A buddy, who 20 years ago worked at a shop has offered to swap the pads out-- is the Boxster any different brake-wise than most other cars? What sort of pads are long lasting (lower dust is a plus) and where do I get them? I haven't posted much- but visit dailyby kosiba - Main Forum
Boxterra- How do you hook an adapter to the Becker?? Ricby kosiba - Main Forum
OK- I've been looking for the iphone fix for the boxster- something that would let me play apps (mostly stitcher radio) in the car and have hands free calling. Chatting with stereo guys and they all said to get a blue tooth radio with streaming audio- so no connection needs to be made to the car, no hardwire. Looking at stereos, and most are gaudy and flashy... love the look of the nakamichi,by kosiba - Main Forum

Hi All- my CEL came on, and I checked the codes, and it points to MAF sensor (I think I remember it being P0205-- but I could be wrong on this). How much to get this fixed? Thanks-- Ricby kosiba - Main Forum

Hi All- I'm looking for another "my other car" to drive to dusty sports fields, out on stormy days, during the winter, etc... My old Mercury Capri (don't laugh) is nearing its end. Here are my criteria: Needs to be a convertible. Needs to have a backseat. I need to feel OK with it being hit with a lacrosse ball and parking in dusty, scratch prone lots (hence no 911- even if I could afford itby kosiba - Main Forum
Taking my son- and it will be my first time. If anybody has been there before- is it cool? What sort of vendors are there?by kosiba - Main Forum
Hi All- I'm interested in developing a decent upgrade to the stereo- hooking up the iphone so I can stream audio and do hands free calling on my 2000 boxster. I'd love a chargeable iphone cradle. When chatting with a stereo guy- he said that many modern stereos have bluetooth streaming, so there doesn''t need to be any wiring. Anybody do this sort of thing?? Ricby kosiba - Main Forum
I want to say it was $1600. Painful for poor me.by kosiba - Main Forum
Bob- So sorry for the late reply- It was installed by Bay Country in Annapolis. They did a good jobby kosiba - Main Forum
In Annapolis I used Bay Country Upholsterers, and posted earlier this month pics of the glass window top (2000 Boxster). Liked them\.by kosiba - Main Forum
Hi All- I'm in the market for an aftermarket stereo- I'd like to be able to listen to audio via my iphone (and preferrably wirelessly). Chatted with a nice stereo kid, who says that that's all handled now with streaming audio via bluetooth and a head unit that can manage that. My only criteria is that I would like the functionality, but don't want a gaudy super flashy looking unit. Have anyby kosiba - Main Forum
Hi All- I just put a gahh glass window top on my 2000s boxster. Impressions: looks nice, but the visibility out of the back will take some getting used to. Sad part, its the first real nice day this winter and I have to keep the top up for a little while. No topless driving for me.by kosiba - Main Forum
Made the mistake of taking down my top today nd got a loud "pop". Big hole in the plastic window. Does anybody know of a good place in annapolis to have either the plastic replaced, or a new top installed??? THANKS!by kosiba - Main Forum
