I have the luxor beige dash color and drove it today in the sunshine with the top down and had no bothersome reflection. I felt I had a worse refection in my 987 with a carbon fiber look dash in black/grey color. After having a black interior on my 987 I am quite enjoying the lighter interior color. FYI. Not that I would use it a lot, but when I picked up my 2013 981S in Feb 15 it worked every stop so I tuned it off most of the time. In the last few weeks, the car will not stop when system is on. I know there are a host of conditions to be met for it to engage and I think I have met them all in testing on Sunday, but when I come to a stop the light just comes on with the yellow A and the slasby Motobob - Main Forum

I did not get it until I drove one but: - it is simply always in the right gear - it downshifts faster than I can think about it with a throttle blip - and the up shifts are unnoticeable they are so fast; there is never a delay Makes me feel even more in control of the car than when I had a manual. QuoteBLKBOXS QuoteMotobob Here is the trip report ...transitioning from the 986 to the 981 Hey Bob, Congratulations on your new Boxster S and thanks for the write up. I personally liked your red Boxster S the best. Is there another color? Right on cue, the winter weather continues after a mild winter here and I probably will not be able to drive it for another week..by Motobob - Main Forum

Mission complete 1200 miles later; safely home ahead of the next east coast storm and new car safe in the garage.... Complete story to follow plus impressions in a few days, sooner if we get snowed in....:-) The old and the new.... I thought it would be hard to say goodbye to our pristine 2001 I have had for 7 years.... once I sat in the supercar called the 981, I never looked back.... Againby Motobob - Main Forum
Well, after 7 years of ownership on a pristine 2001S with 34,000 miles it looks like I am upgrading to a 2013S with only 7000 miles on the clock. Headed south on Sunday to swap cars and drive the new one home and hopefully beat the weather. Will take some pictures and document the story afterwards...same color of course (red) but this one has a tan interior vice my current black interior...moreby Motobob - Main Forum

2001 Boxster S - Purchased Nov 2008 with 19,000M; now in 2013, it has 32,000M...still looks brand new... and that is the unfortunate reason I am holding off buying a 981 until i retire... this car is too nice not to keep it...:-)by Motobob - Main Forum
