I've never seen one before. The photos don't do the fit and finish justice. Was the owner correct when he told me very few were made?by steve on hhi - Main Forum
It's a 1999 Boxster. The owner told me just a handful of the tops were made before the company went out of business. Has anyone else seen one?by steve on hhi - Main Forum
Not the form of "cool suit" I had in mind, but interesting all the same.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
Nothing but a cool suit will do that.by steve on hhi - Main Forum

Will that leave you any time to go through the 379,000 results for "Subaru" + "engine failure"?by steve on hhi - Main Forum
Of course you're right about googling on a topic.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
A while back I ordered a set of front 996 mats, black with red trim and "Porsche" embroidered in the center. They sent me a set of tan w/ red lettering instead. They were quick to correct the mistake and told me to keep the tan ones. For the cost of shipping they’re available to a good home. First to PM me gets them.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
Sounds like your understanding of the English language and the term "generalization" is the same as mine. BTW, just for fun google "Subaru dealership" and "awful service".by steve on hhi - Main Forum
My experience has been like yours. I don't use the dealership for every part or service need, but when I have they've been superb, from picking my car up at my office and leaving me a loaner to the quality of the work done. While Porsche parts can be blindingly high, the dealer has always shown some latitude, even to the point of matching prices with a well known internet tire website (that I wilby steve on hhi - Main Forum
Great idea, Pedro. Will do the next time I buy tires.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
"Actually, longislander's original statement was, "Also, Subaru is one manufacturer that appears to stop the assembly line and recall all potentially affected models when an engine glitch arises. Too bad we can't say the same for Porsche at more than twice the price per car." Factually, that is hard to argue with." There are Subaru owners who'd differ with you on that one. I provided some examplby steve on hhi - Main Forum
I don't recall telling anyone that engine failures were fictional. My point was that there's no objective source that supports your claims of how common they are or that they're having some effect on resale values. Perhaps you can tell the Subaru owners that have suffered engine failures that they're dreaming?by steve on hhi - Main Forum
From the guy that's always talking about "ticking time bombs" and the fatal accidents that result from them? And are we really talking about your car? Because I could have sworn you've mentioned before that you haven't had an engine failure. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but please don't be offended if after every 4th or 5th "ticking time bomb" type posting someone injects some factsby steve on hhi - Main Forum
I'm not sure what point, if any, you're attempting to make. I simply used a very quick web search to find a handful of websites, some that rate vehicles and others that report problems, and compared the ratings given Subaru versus Porsche. And while Subaru scored well as has a fine reputation, each and every one of them gave Porsches, Boxsters in particular, higher ratings. This pattern extendedby steve on hhi - Main Forum
"Subaru had a good record overall, with a top rating going to the four-cylinder Legacy sedan and the non-turbo version of the Forester SUV. The WRX was the only model that rated below average. .......... All Porsche and Volvo models are rated average or better. ................... The Porsche Boxster has the best predicted reliability score in Consumer Reports survey" (Covers MY 2005by steve on hhi - Main Forum
I went back to the old site to catch up. There are many great C o C posts and pictures there, including a great one of his 356.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
Miss him, his pictures and wonderful posts, too. Nice to see Zeebee's still giving joy. Could you post the one of the kids all sitting in his 356? That's one of my favorites.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
That's a thing of rear engined, rear wheel drive, horizontally opposed beauty. I’m in the process of restoring a ’71 squareback. I can see a Westy like yours in my future.by steve on hhi - Main Forum

condition his car was in and what the road was like, but my first inclination it to think "crazy" fits it, not to mention "illegal" and "expensive".by steve on hhi - Main Forum
The second replacement was shortly after the first and was blamed on a bad replacement part.by steve on hhi - Main Forum
