Since you're dealing with a computer on wheels, I would try a hard reset. Disconnect the battery for an hour or two, then reconnect and see if there are any changes.by Mixster - Main Forum
...so I'd be interested in any feedback from the Board. What I've seen so far is that the 0-60 is about a second slower than a 987S, if that matters. But the high torque is supposed to pull and pull and pull. The DEF (diesel emissions fluid, aka AdBlue) is expensive from the MB dealership and just adds one more fluid to keep an eye on. Interestingly, if you run out of DEF, the engine will notby Mixster - Main Forum
From reading the material, my understanding is... You need to suffer an IMS failure and incur out-of-pocket costs within 10 years of the in-service date in order to be considered for compensation. But, if you have a question, I suggest you call the attorneys. The number is on the website and in the class action materials mailed. Mixsterby Mixster - Main Forum
Found this in the USA Today site. Good news for Porsche and the Boxster.by Mixster - Main Forum
So a question for the experts... My 05 S was delivered in April 2005 and the VIN is 2 past the affected VIN range listed in the settlement info (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx12 vs xxxxxxxxxxxxx10). Any insights as to whether my engine has an "improved" IMS or how the affected VIN range was determined? I figured I'd ask the Board before I contact the attorneys and get their input. Thanks for the information and feedback. I placed my order with Tire Rack and plan to have the tires installed next week. After some drive time, I'll post my impression of how they stack up against the PS2's. After having three Boxsters all with PS2's it'll be interesting to see how the Super Sports compare. Separately, it's great to have a place like Pedro's Board to ask questions and seek oby Mixster - Main Forum
Looking for some insight into changing tires models. Background: 2005 Boxster S w/ 19" wheels. 235/35 ZR19 (Front) and 265/35 ZR 19 (Rear) OEM Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. This is NOT a track car...mostly a weekend driver. I got 15K on the original set and 15K on the replacements...another set of the OEM Pilot Sport PS2's. The rears were worn to the point that they needed to be replaced withiby Mixster - Main Forum
My first car was a 1963 Dodge Dart (baby blue) that I purchased in 1969 for $825. Slant 6 engine, aftermarket A/C and PUSH BUTTON drive. Mixsterby Mixster - Main Forum
That happened to me once. I was able to "reset" the window indexing by lowering the windows, lowering the top, raising the windows, lowering again, shutting the engine off. When I restarted the car and raised the top, everything worked like normal. Maybe I was just lucky, but it's worth a try.by Mixster - Main Forum

It's good to hear from you, Meredith. Glad you're doing well. I haven't made it to BRBS for a few years either, but I'm thinking about going next year. Who knows, maybe we can even play in the BRBS Open again, golf's next major. Mixsterby Mixster - Main Forum

I may be wrong, but I thought "Sport Mode" firmed the shocks, changed engine throttle response and made PASM somewhat less responsive, but did not change the exhaust note. I thought "Sport Exhaust" was a different option and not related to sport mode. I look forward to a more definitive response from a more knowledgable board member. Mixsterby Mixster - Main Forum
I first joined PPBB in '98 waiting for my first Arena Red Boxster. My wife and I attended BRBS I at Freedom Escape Lodge in '99 and most of the BRBS's until a couple of years ago. I still enjoy my 3rd Boxster and occasionally checking out what's happening at Pedro's Board. A bit of trivia...at BRBS I, Pedro's "tech sessions" involved fitting wood grain, stick-on coverings on air vents and theby Mixster - Main Forum
You "could" remove the garage door opener and center track, and open/close the door manually. Not elegant, but it's cheap.by Mixster - Main Forum
I've had 4 power window regulators fail (on other cars, NOT on a Boxster) and never a motor failure. The regulator would be my first guess. Mixsterby Mixster - Main Forum
Thanks, Pedro. I've was a PPBB follower since 1998...I'm glad the tradition continues.by Mixster - Main Forum
