This is the Web site for the IMS settlement information - there is a very short time frame for filling forms requesting reimbursement for 2001 to 2005 repairs. when my son and I bought a 2002 Boxster S ... He is now racing a 1978 911SC w/3.2L (and I am the crew) at NASA in Arizona. The Boxster is now a Sunday driver...I still enjoy the writings of both early PPBB and current PB folks. I agree with Mark on the clean/repack the CV joints -- and I'm sure you will do a thorough inspection of the balls and material in the CV for pitting or dulling of the surfaces. These things last a very long time with some grease and maintenance - but one little pit means failure in the future. However, the CV has a good warning noise and vibration when it starts to go... Dwass, The short answer is yes. The long answer is you don't have enough experience with cars to do this clutch job -- by yourself. And, that is the key here - do you have someone to help you that has done a clutch replace job on any car before? People have done this clutch replace job before using manuals, text, and pictures -- but it seems you are very nervous about being under the car when iby Ed(Arizona) - Main Forum
Yes, those are amazing cars. A friend has a sedan I drove for a short time -- freeway on ramp at 100 and still pulling. We didn't get on the twisties but maybe another day...he wants me to drive it to top speed on a deserted (desert) freeway, but I think that's too risky for me. The track would be a fun time though. Also, you might put a little PB blaster on and let set. It takes a lot of force even with the special tool (Harbor Freight has them - but in black The emergency brake cable is a trick also - loosen from the inside of cabin first (another Porsche puzzle - those German engineers) Take care,by Ed(Arizona) - Main Forum

Because the BBS wheels came off a Turbo the offset was big in the rear - we used 18MM spacers on the rear with the right side cut to 16.5 The front was 5MM. These were our track wheels and we had no trouble with them in Ax and DE with R compound tires (stick like glue !) Although, we did replace rear wheel bearings at 60K miles - I think this had more to do with the camber settings, tires (285s),by Ed(Arizona) - Main Forum
10" rear with 285/35/18 Kumho 710 tires and 8" front with 245/35/18 These BBS wheels are used from a 911 Turbo with spacers to fit the wheel well. The lowering does affect the fitment - we rolled the finders and had to custom size/lath one of the rear spacers. IMHO you car looks great with the wheels you have And, we have taken our Boxster off the track (mostly anyway) and put the original 17"by Ed(Arizona) - Main Forum

This Pelican Tech Article w/pics may help Tip - disconnect the Ebrake cable at the handle inside the car to provide enough cable to remove at the wheel There are several good DIY instructions on other forums - but I could not find the one I used a few years ago... Agree that using the B90 tool would save you a lot of time and grief of removing the hub carrier (time vs money issue) Also, youby Ed(Arizona) - Main Forum
