No clue about the warranty. I am sure it is more marketing than anything else and didn't even bother looking at the "terms".by tamarsha - Main Forum
I used the 3M product which was a little difficult to cut through the UV coating, then only lasted a year before the yellow returned. I just tired the Osram Sylvania Restoration Kit... good stuff so far. The two big advantages were that the first step was a spray that helped break down the existing UV coating and yellowing. After sanding and polishing you then wipe on a clear/UV coating that makeby tamarsha - Main Forum
This seems to be another one of those cases where the '03 and '04 are slightly different and there is limited info out there. I will probably just change the plugs and forget about the tubes.by tamarsha - Main Forum
I was just getting my parts list together to do my 60k miles service on my ’03 S and I am a little confused about one thing… spark plug tubes. Do the spark plug tubes and/or O rings need to be replaced? At first I was going to do it but then I read on Pedro’s DIY site about how the 2003 and newer engines have metal tubes that do not need to be serviced. This is the only reference to metalby tamarsha - Main Forum
I have read that buckle is the same one from a 944. You might be able to get one from a junk yard... err... I mean automotive recycler. I have also heard of people sliding a small allen wrench in there to make the buckle click and turn off the airbag.by tamarsha - Parts for Sale
Wish I knew about the UV coating before I used the 3M system. I think I did more harm than good.by tamarsha - Main Forum
Yesterday I noticed the distinct ticking sound of an exhaust leak. A quick look under my ’03 S and I saw where one of the manifold bolts had started to back out of the head. I snugged it back up but this is the second time it has happened. What are the torque specs for that manifold bolts and is there any secret to keeping them in place? I am running NPH headers with high flow cats, secondaryby tamarsha - Main Forum
Just had my deactivation bar coded on Monday. The dealer charged me $50. Not too bad. The cheapest trip to the dealer I have ever had. And I bought a nice Porsche Design shirt for half off while I was there.by tamarsha - Parts for Sale
I had the brake fluid flushed fall of '09. I try to get it flushed every two year. Do you think it will be necessary to do it again before the April DE? I am sure I am not pushing the car as hard as it could be so I was not real sure about how necessary track pads would be. The track is Carolina Motorsports Park which I understand is harder on brakes than most. So I think the general consensusby tamarsha - Main Forum
I am planning to do my second DE in April. Part of the tech inspection is to make sure the brakes have at least half the pad remaining. My front pads are looking like they are about 60-70% worn so I need to do something about them. So the question is, do I get a set of track pads that might get used once or twice a year, or do I get some new street pads? I was looking at the Hawk HPS for streetby tamarsha - Main Forum
Got mine too. Thanks guys. So, hang it up at work in addition to the full size Porsche "calendar", or find a place for it at home... Hummmm.by tamarsha - Main Forum
When was the baby seat manufactured? I was reprimanded by the wife when I bought a car seat that older than 6 years old. If it was made in 2006 or later I might be able to take it off of your hands.by tamarsha - Parts for Sale
