After reading these articles, I'm feeling I've been "Boxsterless" long enough!by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
QuotePedro (Weston, FL) BTW you don't have to give up PB just because you don't have a Boxster. So very true. I sold my '98 986 a few years back. I still read PB almost daily!by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
Wow, thanks for the trip in the time machine. Makes me want to bust out the "On Any Sunday" DVD! I don't know how we did it with that suspension (especially in the rear). I remember when Yamaha came out with their "Monoshock" rear suspension. I remember thinking: "Nobody needs THAT much travel!" Thanks again for the trip.by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
Love it! (That's my procedure too!)by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
Purchasing a Winter Beater: I did just that after driving my Boxster one winter in Northern Idaho. It was NOT because of the tires/traction. I ran Bridgestone Blizzaks from Nov-March and it was a pretty bad winter. I don't recall even sliding around on the Blizzaks except when I decided to push them to the limit to see what they would take. The reason I went to a "beater" was because of the "sandby Post Falls Rob - Main Forum

Is there an expiration on the bottle? Is your car under warranty? If answers are no, and yes...use it.by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
I have one, a 1/2 inch drive. Most things I can do by feel, but it's nice to verify using the torque wrench. With over 30 years working on cars/motorcycles, I don't recall (back in the day) so many things having specific torque settings. The only time I recall using a torque wrench back then was when I rebuilt a 327 Chevy engine and when torquing the head bolts to spec on my Yamaha after a top enby Post Falls Rob - Main Forum

" I was on a roadtrip to Chicago to see a Cubs playoff game." It wasn't "Game 5" vs. the Marlins, was it? Maybe the curse of the goat got that IMS? We're all Cubs fans in my family.by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
1. Yes. $475 2. N/A 3. Yes...although if I had the opportunity to do it again, I would've replaced the canvas as well.by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
"What's the consensus. replace a waterpump pre-emptively with the Sbelt?" I'm not sure you'll get consensus here, but here's my two cents: I, like Pedro, believe in "If it ain't broke, don't fix it' but I think in your case, especially, it makes sense to replace it and here's why: During a routine inspection, I noticed wear on the accessory belt. My Boxster had about 80k miles on it so I decideby Post Falls Rob - Main Forum

"Left lane campers" are by far my biggest pet peeve. This one was even going below the speed limit! Maybe the issue didn't rise to the level of a citation, but, with all the press it's getting perhaps some other "left lane campers" will get the message.by Post Falls Rob - Main Forum

QuoteRoger987 Like the ducks, I'm shivering. It's been cold, cold, cold here the last couple weeks. Looking forward to retirement winters (in the not-too-distant future), someplace warm, Boxster and golf friendly. Arizona's on my radar - Any PPBB members live (or winter) there? Yes, we purchased a retirement home in Arizone in 2010 while real estate was way down. Just a few more years and we'llby Post Falls Rob - Main Forum
