I had recently removed the oil cap while my car was idling, it almost sounded like it was going to stall, is this normal?by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
My right front control arm failed on my 01 base Boxster just about 3 years ago. I only heard the noise as I was backing into my driveway at low speeds. As it cost about $ 500.00 or so I only did the offending side. That was over 15,000 miles ago. I have not heard any noise from the left as of yet.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
I would think that is just a wrap, as in an applied film.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
I recall reading that if you live in temperate climates the freeze/ thaw effect causes condensation in the bottle the same as in the engine during warm up and cool downs.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Yes, I am not sure if it is due to road rage but we are not allowed to flash at a vehicle to gain attention and respond. I wish people would just " Lead, Follow, or get out of the way.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Thanks for the info Boxsterra, I was surprised that it was out after only 13 years. I may have to buy the whole assembly which may only be $ 50.00 or so i hope.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Hello all. I have been searching for DIY info to replace the LED light adjacent to the interior overhead bulb. I had noticed the interior was not as bright as it once was and looked at the drivers side diode to discover it works no more. I have searched the web and have not found any info on even replacement bulbs/diodes in this Porsche application. I have always heard that LED diodes last a longby Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
I now have over 111K on my 01 Base. Have used it as my daily driver year round in NJ for the past few years. Still have original water pump, and AOS.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Just hit the 100k mark this morning, came home and read Marc's post that I've received a reasonable amount of service from the Original AOS. Guess it's time to order parts or schedule the work.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Due to my mileage approaching 100k I wonder if I should preemptively replace the AOS and the water pump. Obviously those who have replaced these parts post but I don't see posts that state the opposite. Am I in a minority of those who are still original at this mileage ? I know many here think this is crazy but I asked my service writer about the AOS and he does not think this is a must do item,by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Let me preface this by saying I do own a Porsche, at times two simultaneously. In my daily work commute traveling on the Garden State Parkway I have seen at least 3 car fires in the past 8 months none of which were Porsche's. I have never ever had the urge to make a post like this which includes pictures on a message board and my Facebook page related to that car. I really find the original postby Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
I have not kept up with the updates but is this the latest Boxster location as well? I thought I had recently read a post that someone took a factory tour and the expansion tank was located in a difficult to access area of the Boxster.by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro, looking forward to the new Boxster Board !by Joseph in NJ - Main Forum
