How to remove it? The fake wood trim is peeling off and I want to replace it with leather as I have leather covered the console, center dash bits, armrest flaps and door handle covers. I've searched everywhere to learn how the shroud is attached. I've received a great deal of help from this blog and also back when it was started as Pete's Boxster forum. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thx!by MichaelB - Main Forum
Had both remote keys (MY 02S) apart many times. Replaced micro switches 2 yrs ago. Reassembly is counter intuitive. Yes, which side holds the rubber gasket makes it easier. When looking at it and analyzing, try doing the opposite of what appears to be the way to align and click the 2 halves together.by MichaelB - Main Forum
Yrs ago I had crunching/grinding sound. Was definitely a stone or shard of metal in the composite of the brake pad scraping on the rotor. I cleared it by running up to high speed and braking hard...repeated 3X. A friend called this an "Italian tuneup".by MichaelB - Main Forum
I'm hearing similar from right rear wheel (MY 02S). Mine is a crirp/whine sound and also at 5>10mph and disappears upon acceleration. I 1st thought it may be the constant velocity bearing. After reading this thread I learn it may be the wheel bearing itself. I'll inspect the brake for possible bent shield or stone hung up. I really doubt it's coming from brake. After reading very good instructions on Mike Focke's site, I had the courage to DIY. The plastic finally gave on MY02. I choose to install a GAHN with glass. All went well during the 10 hours while I carefully and slowly followed each step. However I have one last thing to figure out. This new top has an elastic strap with just a single eyelet located where the original had a velcro strap whichby MichaelB - Main Forum
