I most states corporations are not allowed to have an attorney appear for them in small claims court. A non-lawyer representative must appear and argue for the company. I am a corporate counsel and deal with this very issue every day. I agree that the controlling date is when the defect was discovered. A good argument would be when the IMS failed... I don't mind paying for horsepower, but I don't want a 911. The Boxster is a totally different car than the 911. I'm not interested in a rear engine anything, just as I don't want a front drive anything or anything with an automatic. It pisses me off when manufacturers limit the available choices. My point was that there a lot of Boxster owners who don't want a 911 just as there are a lot ofby maj75 - Main Forum
No, unfortunately, it is not a marketing lie... Performance is degraded in the below flagship models. There are too many car tests done by different media. If the Boxster really had the horsepower of the Carerra, it would have better performance numbers than the 911. It does not, so therefore the power on the Boxster is down. There are plenty of dyno numbers that reflect the lower horsepowerby maj75 - Main Forum
This has been going on since the 60's. Horsepower numbers are a marketing tool. Marketing has more input to the numbers than the designers/engineers do. I could cite example after example, but a few would be that the Corvette had to have the highest horsepower rating, even though engines with the same displacement could be found in multiple Chevrolet vehicles. Same with Ford and the Mustang.by maj75 - Main Forum
Thanks! I like the idea that I can unplug the sensors and avoid the problem on track day. I will make up some plugs to keep the light off while I am on track. Unfortunately I cut off the sensor wires right at the plug before I thought about how they send a signal, so the light is still on I will have to find one old sensor plug to re-wire for the track... I recently attended a DE at Homestead Speedway. It was my first DE and I had a blast, thanks largely to Pedro who was my instructor . Midway through the second session, the Brake Wear light came on. I thought it was odd as I had fairly new pads on the car, but I finished out the sessions with no issues. I ordered new pads and front sensors thinking that would be where the problem was.
