Here are three from SilverBox: OK, so they might not be too racy but SilverBox isby jwdbox - Main Forum
Seek out and use Costco's gas whenever I can. Filled up SilverBox yesterday and saved 30 cents per gallon over local Chevrons. I am headed over to tour Nethercutt and Mullin Museums in California starting tomorrow and have already got the Costco's programmed into the trip advisor.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Thanks. It is back to the 70s here in Vegas so the top is down and all I hear is the sweet sounds of SilverBox's PSEby jwdbox - Main Forum
Hi Bob, Did you bring your car into the dealer and if so, what did they say regarding the clicking?by jwdbox - Main Forum
Nice Guenter Thanks for sharing. Especially like Michelle's comment "60, thats not very fast at all...Thought slow would be 100" Now THAT'S a co-pilotby jwdbox - Main Forum
I listened to SilverBox this morning for the ticking. At least in SilverBox it has nothing to do with the PSE. The ticking was identical with the PSE on or off, and did not alter when manually switching the PSE on or off. It (the frequency of the ticks) is definitely rpm dependent, with a direct correlation to engine rpm, slow when rpm is at lowest idle, increasing as rpms increase. In all cby jwdbox - Main Forum
Bob the clicking or more like ticking is definately not from SilverBox's PSE. Also I do not have a RS. The PSE has a very distinct sound that occurs when you engage it (and have a means of hearing it such as in a garage or parked by a wall). It occurs only once when you hit the switch to turn on the PSE. The ticking I hear is more similar to injectors or something very rythimic like valves, aby jwdbox - Main Forum
Bob, SilverBox is also an 08 and has always had a slight ticking sound noticible when doing a totally cold start up and with the top up. I don't notice it with the top down since then I am enjoying the PSE symphony and in fact I drive with the top down probably 90% of the time. It recently had its oil and filter change at the dealer and there was no noticible difference in the ticking before aby jwdbox - Main Forum

Agree re the turbo on the A4 in normal mode, but when I drive ours in sport setting, the lag is almost non-existant and the turbo works quite well. Kind of like the difference in driving the PDK in normal vs sport setting IMHO.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Costco doesn't ever ask for zip code in my experience regardless of state, however regular gas stations in most states do.by jwdbox - Main Forum
It has been a bit unusual weather wise here in Vegas as well, it will be 65 and sunny. Driving SilverBox with the top down taking it all in. But I don't think Guenter is going to have a problem countering as he is enjoying some heat in Florida right now.by jwdbox - Main Forum
It seems like those are pictures of an earlier mule. The side is very similar to the existing vents and sheet metal as compared to those in the Auto Motor Und Sport shots.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Interesting. Don't understand why there is a horizontal body seam that goes above the engine intake to the rear wheel well. Perhaps these are still disguised body panels.by jwdbox - Main Forum
For starters Pedro, it is a very clean 2001 engine compartmentby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario there's no cure. So, anytime you want to post pictures of Porsches in the wild. Go right ahead 'cause it helps relieve the itch just a bit. Ahhh, didn't you mean Porsches Gone Wild? I think I have seen that video....by jwdbox - Main Forum
Amazon is running a 'Black Friday' deal on universal seat heaters that apparently can be retro fitted to any seat. It is a Dorman 628-040 Universal Seat Heater Kit that retails for about $170 and they are selling for $60. This might be a viable alternative for others to consider.by jwdbox - Main Forum

QuoteGary in SoFL Yes, that is the image that I get before using the configurator in 3D. When you opt to delete the Rear Model Designation on the new 991 it shows an absolutely clean backside. I am not reproducing the image from the site because I believe it is copyrighted.by jwdbox - Main Forum
We (Laz original comment) were taking about the 991 and that is what I worked up this morning on the Porsche main site, using the configurator. Again, when you opt to delete the Rear Model Designation on the new 991 it shows (at least in the 3D version) a totally clean rear with all of the tags, eg: Porsche, 911 Carrera S, gone. I included the pictures of Silverbox as an example of using that oby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteGary in SoFL n/t I am not sure that is correct. If you go to the Porsche site and use the configurator to build the new 911 and select Deletion of Rear Model Designation, it shows the rear lid totally clean including no 'Porsche' lettering. That was also my experience when I ordered Silverbox using the Deletion of Rear Model Designation option. Here is how she showed up: and then I adby jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteLaz I wonder if one can have the rear just say "PORSCHE" or "Carrera" or "911." Or as it was in the sixties, "PORSCHE" plus the model number. If anything, "911" with "Carrera" is a redundancy of sorts. For the 987 (and 981?) the model name, not number makes sense. "PORSCHE" with "Boxster" or "Cayman" would look too busy, especially as "S" versions. Don't know the answer to that. The simpleby jwdbox - Main Forum
When I ordered Silverbox it was with regards to the rear trunk onlyby jwdbox - Main Forum
My guess is that you can order it sans badges like you can the Boxster.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Its a mystery re the new Boxster debut. The 991 I sat in seemed to be fine with regards to the shifter, though the clutch felt a bit heavier than Silverbox's.by jwdbox - Main Forum
Attended a Porsche invite only event yesterday at the LA Auto Show where about 150 attendees were treated to up close and personal looks for two hours before the Auto Show opened to the public. They had the new 911 and new Panamera GTS along with current Boxsters. I asked if they were going to debut the new Boxster at the up coming Detroit Auto Show and they said no.
