I guess the PowerChip remap didn't fully account for my sports muffler and straight pipes (2ndary cat deletes), even though they knew about it...Pedro fixed all that with his remap...now the exhaust is smooth and throaty. the throttle body has an initial lip (but not obviously flared) and the clamp is beyond that portion, as you stated. There is a groove between the TB lip and where the clamp would go, so the seal is very tight. After 500+ miles, still no leaks in the system that would generate a CEL. I will move the clamps (around the blue tube part) that Pedro addressed to ensure the best seal, since there aby Kimo - Main Forum
I forgot to mention this important observation: it normally takes me much more than 3/4 tank of gas to drive from NC to Washington DC; today, it took me less than 3/4 tank of gas...and the only difference is the TP2...thanks, again, Pedroby Kimo - Main Forum
I just recently purchased and installed Pedro's TechnoPower2 (TP2) gadget on my 2.7L TIP 986. First, let me say that Pedro's gadget works as advertised (I don't have a dyno sheet, as a caveat). I recommend the TP2 for any 986 owner...you will not regret the extra power; however, see my before modifications, below, which I would highly suggest to take advantage of additional torque and HP increaby Kimo - Main Forum
Aloha, An option: below link is my old DYI post from PPBB that deleted the CD changer and added my iPod. I just used the existing CD RCA cables instead of buying a new one, but did have to buy an in line 12-volt power and tapped a couple of wires. I deleted the CD changer to save weight, since I didn't plan on using CDs anymore. iPod AUX using spare pwr and delete your CD changer Although tby Kimo - Main Forum
