Re:green... We almost bought a second 997 for the stable this summer... While in Newport Beach, CA my wife spotted a malachite green w/ cocoa top & sand int 997 at NB Porsche. Looked really nice...not for me but she was pining for it. Thank goodness it wasn't PDK... Enjoy your new 997 and make sure Mrs. Gary in SoFL gets to see/test drive itby Burg Boxster - Main Forum

First off, thanks G for organizing a fun weekend. We had a fantastic time catching up w/ you, Michelle, Dom & Mary while viewing scenic NOTL and sampling some local fruit... in fermented form, of course. Wish more of the CAN-AM caravan could have made it out but we toasted you all repeatedly. That said, you didn't have to disguise your maintenance needs w/ a fun run, chocolate factory tourby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
Why would you need to sign a NDA? PB members rely upon (and support) your objectivity. As such and particularly on such a hot button topic, it only benefits you to re-confirm your objectivity on said product; especially based on what many/most consider to be "gorilla marketing" / snake oil salesmanship by the adapter of this known military technology. You have no vested interest in the produby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
your copilot got into the spirit w/ her color changing hat too Great shots as always - thanks for sharing!by Burg Boxster - Main Forum
the tough part is properly putting the clamp back on... not removal. Removal occurs easily w a pair of regular pliers, screwdriver or just cutting the bellows, as most do, and pulling the tube / prying upward. Good luck w your AOS R&Rby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
hose clamp pliers - amazon, napa, sears, ebay, etc. Porsche tool - comes w/ a new clamp (pic courtesy of craig from old ppbb) zip tie - probably already in your tool boxby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
Use a clean, lint free cloth soaked w denatured or isopropyl alcohol to clean the bulb glass. Best prevention is to use a pair of rubber gloves when handling.by Burg Boxster - Main Forum
To Harvey's point, you just need to disconnect plug (and seal it as suggested) in engine compartment (on right side near TB IIRC) but I think in the Boxster it's black not orange. Good luck and enjoy your always on exhaustby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
Great pix as always, G. How about if you keep enjoying it up there for several more months before sending the shorter days further down this way? Pretty please?!?!?!? Need to get an Oct/Nov BALE-out on the calendar if possible?by Burg Boxster - Main Forum
disclaimer police are making me add this... PS - bleach fumes can be deadly so only use in well ventilated locations...by Burg Boxster - Main Forum
mold is very tough thing to kill. Often times it looks like it's gone but really it's still there, just not visible to naked eye. Bleach, specifically Clorox, is one of the most effective ways to get rid of mold. On roofs, concrete and decks, use a 3:1 (clorox : water) ratio and let it soak (agitate w/ brush if needed to loosen large clusters) and rinse after 30min if desired. I am not taking any shots at MKARESH and his efforts to compile data w/ my 'liars use statistics' comment. Quite the contrary. I applaud his efforts and truly hope he captures relevant, accurate and statistically defensible data so all Boxster owners can breath easier. Thus far, his surveys seem to be the most objective out there. Someone posting links to other forums requesting you jump on tby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
% is not cumulative unless 2% of every 1999 sampled (assuming same samples too) failed each year over a 10 year survey. Then you could say over 10 years, 20% of 1999s sampled failed. Whereas, if over a 10 year review of each MY, you had 2% failure rate per MY (not 2% per MY per survey year and assuming same samples and sample sizes are used for each MY) you'd only have a 2% total failure rate.by Burg Boxster - Main Forum
IMNSHO the Aston Martin-esque tail lights look out of place, but not as much as the overly repetitive badging: P O R S C H E 911 Carrera S All they need now are to add a few superlatives to make it completeby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
even by your own statement (before "x" edit) provides diminishing return...if any. There is a big difference between vital essential component for maximum performance re: RCA plugs/wires and an ancillary non-essential component re:drain plug (equivalent zip tie for excess wiring in sound system). Nice try, but sell your snake oil else where Johnny Dangerous. Paranoia posts like these remind meby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
on some MY, the panel is one complete horseshoe. In other MY's, the panel is 3 pieces... a horseshoe and a wing overlaying on each side. Simple DIY, just follow the directions above and use a butter knife (covered w/ electrical tape) or a plastic trim panel removal tool to pry the trim off and you'll be all set. In either case (panel trim) there is absolutely no need to remove the radio.by Burg Boxster - Main Forum

but if you have a strong desire to make them more permanent, I'd suggest silicone adhesive as opposed to crazy/super glue. Super-glue, particularly when used w/ plastics, tends to leave a chemical "smoke trail/burn" to the entire area as it cures (over 24hrs) - particularly when applied to a confined spot potentially ruining the visible portion of your blanks or console. With silicone, not onlyby Burg Boxster - Main Forum
