thanks I'll check it outby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
I have an '01 S and the other day I drove to work and when i got out of the car I noticed steam coming out from the front of the door jam. I looked under the car and saw it dripping quite a bit of coolant. It did have a smell to it. and when I checked the coolant level it was below the min level. I did notice the AC was not as cold as it usually gets. On the way home I did not use the AC andby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum

I've driven this route hundreds of times but I have never been there on Friday mornings. I looks like it would be interesting/fun. Thanks for posting this. I think I'll try it in a couple of weeks.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
So I tried the fix for the window drop, but after I pulled off the door panel the wire covering had no play in it. So based on this I need new microswitch? The window does drop if I hold the handle up and release it right before it closes, but this is a pain in the axx. TIAby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
You could think of it as good and better settings. I have PSS9's and I was taking notes on the setting at each corner, type of track, temp, time of day... then I realized I am not a full time racer so I said just enjoy the track day. I came with some good settings and just stuck with it.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Does anyone know where I can get good touch up paint? I got some off of eblah and they said it was my year and color but when I put it on, it is not the same color. It is a little darker. I only put a little on so I can cover it up, but does anyone know of a place that has the correct color and not one that is "close". As a side note, my polisher pad on my buffer came apart so I was lookingby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
soldering skills are begineer at best. I do know someone who does have soldering skills and this would be obvious and and easy fix? If not then I guess a new key coded from the dealer is the only other option?by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum

thanks, but what about he said I should get a new key because the old key is now "coded" as a bad key? and you have heard of the system going into antitheft mode?by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
The shop called and asked if I could bring a spare key to the shop because they were getting an antitheft code on the obd. Puzzled as to why I would get that I said I will bring it over. They tried the spare key and it started right up. He did it a few times just to make sure. I asked why would I have an antitheft code on my car when I was starting it with my key? He said if you push the locby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Unfortunately, it is sitting at the shop, so I can not try some of the options. Well I hope it is the ignition switch. I agree about the switch being hard to access. I replaced it a few years ago and I had to get my wife to get her hands in there. Thanks for your thoughts.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
I just replaced it a year or two ago. But it does crank and fire so...by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Hello Everyone, well here I go again with another problem. I was out today just driving around, stopped for some lunch but then when I got back in and tried to start it, it would crank and it would sound like it started but as soon as I let go of the key it would die. I had no check engine light and I had my odb reader with me and there was nothing on that. The electrical was fine because allby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
The person that fixed my car is a stereo guy not really a mechanic. As a side note he does have 2 lotus' in his shop. An Exige and an Evora, I think.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Not a Porsche speciality shop but they do a lot of Porsches there as well as other high end european cars.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Just to give an update, I contacted Jamie, who used to be on Pedro's board in the beginning and asked him if he could look at it. He and his assistant looked at it and adjusted the cables and realigned a bracket (not to say it was quick, because it did take all morning). That was it, it shifts much easier into reverse and the 2nd to 3rd shift flows nicely now. I am quiet happy now, and have a mby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Yes I had a shop look at it and they tried adjusting it.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Hello All, I have a B&M short shifter that no longer wants to work well. Reverse is a pain to get into and when it is really hard to engage reverse I have to hit really swing at the lever to make it go over to 3rd. I was looking at either a cheap no name from that place in south america lol, or? How is the Schnell shifter? Anyone have any recommendations? Thanksby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
It has been done but probably not for 60k miles or so. I will check this out. Thanksby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Hello everyone, I think my clutch is starting to go. When I start it up cold and put it in first, it is hard to engage it cleanly and it stutters and little. Sometimes I stall it. This will not happen once it is warmed up. I have not taken it to a shop yet but thought I would ask here first. The old girl is also having a compressor issue. At first i thought it might be the fan because it soby Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
This trip began over 20 years ago. It was 1999 and I was looking to get a new car fun car and 4 different manufactures had contenders, BMW, Honda, Audi, and Porsche. I read all of the reviews, and got the opinions of all of my friends and family, regardless if I asked or not. I even had a friend tell me if I got that car I could not drive everyone to lunch. I looked at him quizzically and saiby Michael SYS Driver - 10 years of PB

So I had to get a new key fob and I have transferred all the pieces but 1, the Porsche emblem. Does anyone know (I'm sure someone does) how to get the emblem off of the back of the key fob? Other then with a hammer.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum

That is a nice car. I would look really good in yellow.by Michael SYS Driver - Main Forum
Hello, I did a search but I didn't see anything, but do people on here have any kind of roadside assistance and if so who do you get it with? My car is getting up there in miles and years and I was thinking I should get some. I know there are others out there besides AAA but was curious on everyone's thought on this was.
