Things happen for a reason, congrats. I’ve never regretted holding onto a car, there’s more then a few I regret selling. Happy motoring.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro. Nice to see that the 987’s are becoming increasingly appreciated. After 16 years and 165k I still so enjoy mine.by Paralizer - Main Forum
I recently had some work done on my 06 Boxster S. As part of that they had to disconnect the battery. I can’t seem to get the display on my PCM unit to include the date anymore it just shows the radio station and the time. It’s a minor thing but it’s just the way I like to configure my display. I’ve tried everything I can think of referencing the manual and still can’t get the display tby Paralizer - Main Forum
So what an amazing experience. If you ever have the chance to attend it is so worth going. It’s actually well organized, I can’t imagine the logistics that go into the event, and it was just fantastic. I’m a bit tech challenged, so hopefully this works. I put together an album of pics and videos. Hope you enjoy them.,by Paralizer - Main Forum
Thanks for the tips. I was at the track til 1:30am, I outlasted my camera battery. I did go to the end of Mulsane and Arnage, both were quite the spectacle. Haven’t had a chance to download and sort new pics put I’ll put up a new link when I do.by Paralizer - Main Forum
These were the qualifying and practice sessions, other than the Porsche challenge event. Those were Wednesday and Thursday. Today there was a huge increase in the number of people. The race begins at 4 PM tomorrow local time.by Paralizer - Main Forum
I’m attending the 24 hours of Le Mans, this is so a bucket list item. Thought this group might enjoy some pics I tools the first couple of days. I’m not a great photographer but I think there’s a couple of good ones in the group. The video, the first official race, Porsche Challenge, has a big crash. The driver walked away seemingly fine. You can hear me in the background with the “oh, oby Paralizer - Main Forum

I doubt anyone on this board needs to be convinced, but it’s still nice to see “the masses” educated.by Paralizer - Main Forum
Thanks for the thoughts, seems to be doing ok now. Battery might be getting time to replace as there’s a bit of hesitation on cranking.by Paralizer - Main Forum
When I started my car today it had a slow crank and then when it fired up there was a terrible noise, very loud lifter clatter for several seconds followed by a big puff of blue smoke. The noise only lasted for a few seconds then the idle smoothed out and no discernible issues while driving. The car had been parked for a month while I was out of town. During that time a friend swung by and replacby Paralizer - Main Forum

I can see a member with a recent delivery this might affect. Looks like Porsche is stepping up and replacing all affected engines.by Paralizer - Main Forum
To the original poster I offer my apologies as it was not my intent to hijack this thread… The reality of the situation, IMHO, is driven by the fact that between the EU, countries in the Nordic area, and even some states in the US have made the decision that you will no longer be able to sell ICE cars in the very near future. So, whether we like it or not, the days of the ICE are coming to an eby Paralizer - Main Forum
The following is MY opinion... Used Boxster, especially post IMS, Boxster prices will most likely hold steady and then go up. Even IMS models, especially retrofitted 986 and 987’s built with the updated bearing will most likely hold value long term. My reason for thinking this is the coming switch to electric cars. The simple fact is ICE cars are headed to way of the dodo bird. While I’m sureby Paralizer - Main Forum
This just popped up on of my favorite YouTube channels, Engineering Explained. Gives a great in depth look at the GT3 motor.by Paralizer - Main Forum
QuotePedro (Odessa, FL)I'm stuck in a commercial that at least gets me recognition, lots of it. Happy Porsche'ing, Pedro You are “recognized” even without the commercial.by Paralizer - Main Forum
I usually say this in a bar but these days that’s a challenge so...check out the wheels on that gal!by Paralizer - Main Forum
It’s up on the US site too. My spec, with European delivery of course, came in at $102k, and changeby Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra to turn on and off the sensor so that the light doesn't flash. So sometimes the light stays on after sensors are replaced. But if it doesn't go off eventually then likely one of the sensors is bad or not properly connected. The circuit just measures continuity, which you can do yourself with a continuity tester on each wheel to narrow down the problem. You don't even have to removeby Paralizer - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra When the pad wears down to the sensor wire, the wire wears down. Before the wire is worn all the way through the brake wear light may come on and go off intermittently. To fix it you can either solder the wire back together or replace the sensor. The sensors aren't very expensive and are easy to replace. Yeah my friend installed new sensors yesterday and it’s still throwing thby Paralizer - Main Forum
Recently a friend changed out my worn brake pads. He didn’t get the brake wear sensors at that time. He received them the other day and I went over to get the old ones pulled our and new ones in. The sensors plugged in with no problem and the other portion inserted into the pad opening. When I first restarted the car all looked good but as soon as I released the e-brake the brake wear sensor trby Paralizer - Main Forum
Hey a little levity is what we all need these days, but I digress. A friend of mine put in a new set of brakes on my trusty steed recently while I was out of the country. He sent me this picture of the rubber that surrounds the struts on my 06, PASM equipped, 987S. Is it possible to just replace the rubber surrounds or will I need to swap out the entire strut? QuoteMikenOH Now if they can just do the right thing and put a flat 6 in the base and S models, all will be right with this platform. Sadly I don’t anticipate that mainly because of the new EU emissions regulations.by Paralizer - Main Forum
