Yes, from PPBB through now with PB, he brought together a terrific community. These Boards were/are excellently formatted which, along with the civility of the members, encourages participation. I met his daughter (and her husband) several years ago at the North Carolina Museum of Art's Porsche by Design exhibition. As expected, quite decent people.by Laz - Main Forum

2013 Boxster S. Two months ago the oil pan was wet, and there was an even film of oil up both sides of the crankcase as far as I could see: several inches. Could it be some sort of "ordinary" leak from above, or something else? No sign of an AOS failure, but I also took off the filler cap with the car idling, and there was air blowing out, (not just a back-and-forth) making me think of excessiveby Laz - Main Forum
... if not exactly the noise, especially wtih the harder bumps. The guy talks quite a bit before driving, which starts at about 1:26, and goes to about 2:00. The cobblestones definitely emphasize the noises I hear with my car. Near as I can tell, he unfortunately never posts if he resolved the issue. Some of the replies get close, but there's usually a terminology issue as to what part they'reby Laz - Main Forum
A long time ago I posted here (or Porsche Pete's?) about a noise my 2001 base Boxster developed. (IIRC, this was at the rear.) It occurred only at slow speeds, like 5 to 15 mph, and only when going over small amplitude but sharp irregularities, such as lumpy asphalt. Grass lawn parking areas, too. After changing out parts piecemeal the solution was replacing the "tuning fork" control arms, (notby Laz - Main Forum

Earlier today when starting my 2013 Boxster S (from dead cold,) the message about low coolant came up. No signs of leaks anywhere and the cap, inside and out looks good. Can't recall when and if the level has been checked any time recently. I don't have any coolant around, "the right stuff" or otherwise, but I added distilled water... a bit more than a quart. That amount only mildly concerns me,by Laz - Main Forum

That coil is about the easiest to get to. (2, 3, and 5 are relatively accessible, too.) it's my understanding that 911s have a heat shield on each bank, but not Boxsters. (At least mine.) While your mechanic is in there, have him (her?) check the tightness of the forward O2 sensor; the other side also if you want to go for a bit more labor cost.by Laz - Main Forum
The belts and pulleys are at the front of the engine in Boxsters. (4-5-6 are on the driver's side.)by Laz - Main Forum

I'd bet on at least one ignition coil going bad. Have a perhaps more extensive code reader show you the faults associated with those symptoms, and there could be at least one ignition coil failure code. If it's a coil, don't delay changing it. One of the ones that went bad on my 13S made the car almost completely undriveable. Fortunately I was within a mile of my house with no traffic to deal witby Laz - Main Forum

As there simply aren't enough stations to my liking on either band to fill up all 3 fields, I • Vertically doubled each AM station so it's easier to poke the right one while driving; • Left the 3rd field of each band blank, so when traveling up to 12 local stations can be stored without deleting the "home" stations.by Laz - Main Forum
